Firstly thanks for my lovely BA from 1stbaby, you truly have been my rock during the past 9 months xxx And thanks for all my lovely messages from you amazing ladies.
Well I thought induction was going to take days and my H was actually considering going to work after the propes was put in. Lucky for us that he didn't as 10 minutes later my contractions started 3 mins apart, within an hour I was 5cm and after established labour of 24 minutes our little soldier Oliver was born! What a gutter that we bought a weeks car parking ticket!!
From the get go he was a sleepy baby, and this has led to issues with feeding, in that he simply isn't interested in eating. I refused to be discharged following his birth as i wasn't happy with his feeding, and through staying in it was also detected that he has a heart murmur. We came home Saturday, but after he also developed jaundice, we were readmitted yesterday. He has since been under phototherapy on a Bilibed, and has been having lots of nasty blood tests which are heartbreaking to have to watch. His results seem to be improving and feeding/waking him three hourly is improving his feeds which are now at 45mls per feed.
Fingers crossed for a quick but safe release from hospital with my little Man, I am desperate to get back to H and my big boy conks ASAP xxxx

Sorry to hear he's still in. Sounds like you were right to stick to your instincts then! The biliblankets usually work pretty quickly so hopefully you'll be back out soon.

Sounds like a difficult first week, but he is in the best place, and it's good that you are getting him better before he goes home. It won't be long until you're with your H and C

Oh Munchkin, exactly the same happened to us! We did 2 days under lights and 3 hourly feeds before discharge. With hindsight I think we needed another day and she is stlll slightly jaundiced now at 20 days so be firm if you don't think he's ready to leave.
Sorry your first week has been a bit rubbish as well. Hope you are all back together soon xx
