if anyone has seen the 3rd tri thread they will know about this weeks palava.
Short story 3am Mon morning i was woken with tightenings. Timed then through the night and ended up on ante natal at 8am as 3.5 mins apart for 30-35 secs. Given steroids as 35+5 and told to come back if carried on. Cervix was closed.
Carried on all day and night. Slowed to about 6 mins apart after a bath. Took some paracetamol to get me through the night. Was back on day assessment at 8am as no change. Got there and it all stopped . Assessed by doc as it went on for over 24 hrs (about 30). Given more steroids and sent home and told to come back if they came back and intensified.
Had nothing all day until about 30 mins ago. have just had 2, 10 mins apart, very intense (had to tell H to stop talking to me) and I watched by bump completely change shape (squeezed in with a dip in the middle - looked kind of heart shaped from above). lasted about 1 min.
Background - 2 previous c sections, ELCS booked for this but told to be careful of contractions in case of rupture. No 2 pre term labout at 36+4, delivered at 37 weeks.
What do you reckon? Could it just be BH's? I am cr@p at this and worry about wasting peoples time by traipsing up to hospital constantly.

Yup, phone them. I don't think BH are meant to be that painful!

Phone them. Braxton Hicks are generally uncomfortable rather than painful.

Phone them, better to get checked

WEES. I could always talk through BH, couldn't talk through a proper contraction. you won't be wasting anyone's time, I'm sure at 35+6 they would rather check it out.

Thank you for all your responses last night ladies x I ended up taking myself off to bed and managed to sleep so I guess they tailed off. Have sent H off to work and will monitor things. I think I am having some mild tightenings again this morning so will time and monitor those once I am home from the school run. This is soooo frustrating!

I was going to say it sound like how I was the night before I went into labour, but it seems like things have calmed down a bit. Hopefully it's just a false alarm xx
