I'm 11 weeks pregnant and since yesterday, have had a lower back ache which is spreading into the top of my buttocks and hips and legs. It isn't awful, but it's there and making me uncomfortable.
I'm really anxious that it could be something to worry about and I might miscarry. Or does it sound like it could be stretching? Has anyone else had this at such an early stage?

your body is changing to get itself ready for baby growing. unfortunately aches and pains are to be expected. It can be scary because we get it into our heads that any pains are bad and mean the worst. Try not to worry though, chances are that it's nothing that will affect baby. It does sound a bit like you might have sciatica or something similar. Speak to your MW if your concerned at all. They will be able to advise on what it might be, and what you should do to help reduce the discomfort!

I had a touch of saticia at this stage. The pain spread from my back down my bum and the tops of my thighs.I think it's quite common as your insides are adjusting to your womb expanding.

Mermaid, I've had a lot of pain in my lower back and hips and am now seeing a Chiropractor! Worth seeing someone if it's causing you grief x

About 4 weeks ago so similar to you. Hips have been the worst and the Chiropractor said it's my pelvis causing the problem, I'm really glad I went as she was really good.

I had this from around 10 weeks, I was really uncomfortable when laying on my side. I started sleeping with a v-shaped pillow between my legs and it helped my hips feel supported. I'm sure it's nothing wrong, just your ligaments and muscles adapting to your uterus growing.
