    OMG Weep

These are agony. I'm taking regular paracetamol but its not touching them really, the diclofenac they gave me in hospital has long since worn off.

How long do they last? Iris is feeding constantly really, already about 10 times since she was born....

3 weeks after Michael! I did not get them after Ella so it was a shock! Bloody horrible but each day they eased slightly until it felt like nothing more than af aches. My consultant gave me brufen for them.

Oh god I remember these! I didn't have them after my first and no-one warned me about them so they were a complete shock after my 2nd!! Felt like contractions all over again!! I think they only lasted 2/3 days for me. They were even worse after baby no.3 :-(

I only had them after my second too. Strange. And painful! At least it means you'll get a flatter tummy quicker!

Mine were awful with L, so painful. Alternate the ibuprofen and paracetamol and it should lessen within a week.

I was very lucky and didn't have them after either of mine, my mom never had them either after having 3 children. My MIL had them though

IDC - Apparently, they're meant to get worse with each child...

I had them for about 48 hours after having E.  I remember being terrified and sure i was having a heart attack or something because they were so bad.  I don't remember them being so bad after S though, but it could be because i kept on top of the drugs that they'd give me to keep on top of the C-section pain.

mine lasted a few days but midwife comforted me by saying it meant your stomach got flatter sooner. BFing usually kicked started mine I took paracetamol and used a water bottle, sitting streatch out also helpped for some reason

Thanks all, I'll keep up with the drugs then. It's so sore when I'm BFing which is fairly constant at the moment!

That's a good way to describe them, just like the painful contractions!

I had a prescription for diclofenac each time which I definitely needed. Could you try and get some? Or is there an OTC version? What's molterol? Have I made that up?

    edited, it's voltarol apparently.
