Thought I'd start one as it's been pretty dead around here this last week - hope everyone is ok?
AFM - After today I will have 10 shifts left before I start my maternity leave, I really can't wait to finish work but I'm also a bit scared as it means it's really happening, and pretty soon! I had the health visitor home visit last week, she was really nice, bombarded us with lots of questions and information about groups and support etc. We're pretty much ready now for baby's arrival, although I REALLY must sort my hospital bag out this week, I'm so unorganised with it which is most unlike me, maybe I'm in denial!! And in non-baby news, my pusscat went missing just over a week ago and still hasn't returned, I don't think the pregnancy hormones helped but last week wasn't good, I was feeling quite emotional and delicate all week.

Hi woowoo. I'll join in in the hope we get things moving.
Sorry to hear about your cat, I hope she/he reappears soon.
Currently 10+5, 2 weeks today until my 12 week scan. Am feeling nauseous most days and it's doing my head in!
Hi to any that follow (hopefully some do!)

Woowoo - 10 shifts is very exciting, although I know what you mean about it suddenly feeling rather real and slightly scary! If it makes you feel any better, my hospital bag is still only half packed and I'm a tiny bit ahead of you! I really hope your cat turns up.
Holey - 2 weeks till your scan is exciting; the first scan made everything so much more real for me. I hope the nausea passes soon.
JJ - I hope the tongue snipping brings you some good results and that's nice that the health visitor was so complimentary.
AFM - only 8 shifts left at work but still not got my ante natal classes as they cancelled the februrary ones due to staff shortages. The midwife has told me that they'll hopefully be running some at the beginning of march but at this rate the baby will be here before I get my classes! Me and my husband are going away to a hotel for a night at the weekend and will be having a nice meal as a last little break before the baby arrives so am looking forward to that ;-)

Woowoo - I bet you can't wait to finish. Sorry about your cat. Get that hospital bag sorted!
Holey- the nausea can be horrible, I remember it well. Try eating little and often.
JJ- glad to hear that you've had the tongue tie sorted and hopefully it will make plenty of difference for you. They grow up far too quickly don't they. Dexter is 15 months now and I honestly don't know where the time has gone, he's walking now and doesn't even resemble a baby anymore.
Miss Pickle - Not long left at work for you either. Hopefully they fit you in for antenatal classes in time but I wouldn't worry to much about them, I didn't really learn anything I didn't already know at mine. Enjoy your break away.
AFM - 26 weeks now. I've got to have a blood test next week to check for gestational diabetes as I have some sugar in my urine. Boo. Not much else to report really

WW - sorry to hear about your cat, that must be so worrying. My two started behaving very crazy towards the end of my pregnancy with S so I definitely think they know that change is coming and it makes them a bit skittish. I hope that's all it is and you are reunited soon xxx Get your hospital bag sorted though missy!! *wags finger*
Holey - bah, nausea sucks. It does (usually) get easier though so hopefully it will ease for you soon.
JJ - good news about M's TT and the HV being so complimentary about him. Always lovely to hear!
MP - annoying about your antenatal classes but as MS says above, I didn't learn a huge amount that I didn't already know so don't let it worry you. Your break sounds lovely, enjoy!
MS - lots of anti-GD vibes for you! How's the house? Are you settling in ok?
AFM - have got the pregnancy hump I think, haha! I'm just so grumpy! I swear I wasn't like this last time (H remembers it differently apparently...) Apart from that, not much going on. Got all of S's old clothes out of the loft at the weekend and I really don't need to buy anything which is a shame ;) H has a week off at the beginning of March so we will be sorting out crib, carrycot, car seat etc then. Started collecting a few bits for hospital bag, just ticking along really!
Ooh and if anyone can spare some baby out vibes for my cousin's wife they would be appreciated! She was due on Saturday so not really over massively but is big and uncomfortable and has been told baby could be on the big side so sooner rather than later would be preferable! Plus I am checking my phone every 5 mins for an update and it's driving me crazy!

Woowoo - any sign of your cat?
JJ - how lovely the hv said all those things, it must be so lovely to hear.
Miss pickle - where are you hoping to go for your night away?
MS - did you have GD last time?
Popcorn - has your cousins wife had her baby yet?! I know what you mean about the pregnancy hump, I've got it already! My poor h!
Afm - 11 weeks today! Eek! I'm finding the nausea is actually worse in the evening a couple of hours after my dinner. I wondered if I was overeating but it seems to happen whether I have a big dinner or small dinner. As stupid as it sounds I'm not that bothered about being ill in the morning as my stomach is empty but after dinner is horrible!
Back to nicer things...It's my Friday today, off work tomorrow as we are off to see a band tonight in London and then off to Birmingham for the day/night tomorrow.
Anyone else got any nice weekend plans?

Popcorn - settling into the house well. Although there is a lot of decorating to do, we're currently working on the living room. I've got the pregnancy hump as well already. Baby out vibes for your cousins wife!
Holey - I didn't have GD last time, but reading through the symptoms and that it can make baby grow bigger, it sounds like maybe i did at the end of my pregnancy and it just wasn't picked up on. Enjoy your day off work today. How was the band last night? What are you planning on doing in Birmingham, shopping? Hopefully the nausea will stop for you soon. We are going to London this Sat to the Baby Show, and stopping in a hotel for the night, not sure what we will do on the Sunday.

Holey - hope the nausea passes by, hopefully once you get to 12 weeks it should tail off. Enjoy the band tonight and your long weekend :)
JJ - Glad the tongue tie is sorted and glad the HV was very complimentary, it must be lovely to hear.
MissP - rubbish about the antenatal classes, but like others have said I don't think I learnt that much - the only benefits were things specific to my hospital, so their procedures on 3rd stage injection, delayed cord clamping etc but I'm sure your MW could talk you through all that. Weekend away sounds lovely :)
MS - Fingers crossed for no diabetes, I had to have it and the drink they give you is pretty vile!
Popcorn - Hope the grump passes, I keep saying to my H that I've been fine during my pregnancy and haven't really been any different to before - he gives me 'the look' which suggests otherwise! If your cousin hasn't already had the baby, have some baby out vibes!
AFM - Still no news on the cat, it will be 2 weeks tomorrow. He is chipped so hoping he'll end up at a vets somewhere and they'll scan him and be able to trace him back, but I don't have much hope that he'll just turn back up now :( In baby news, I've finally sorted my hospital bag, well sort of! If I went into labour tomorrow, there'd be enough in there to get me through! On Saturday we're off to a baby first aid course which I'm hoping we'll find useful. No other weekend plans for us.

Thanks for the BO vibes for my cousin and his wife. No sign of baby yet though :(
Holey - evening nausea is really horrible, I found the only thing that helped was going to bed! What band did you go and see? Was it good? Have fun in Birmingham.
MS - Have fun at the Baby Show. I'd love to be going as we didn't do it when I was pg with S, it was Feb (too early in pregnancy) or Sep/Oct (too late) This time would have been perfect!
WW - glad you've got that bag packed, one less thing to worry about. Hope the baby first aid course is useful.
AFM - nothing too exciting planned for the weekend. Mum and Dad coming round tonight for a takeaway and seeing H's family for dinner on Sunday so not too much cooking for me this weekend (woo!) One of our friends is giving us a toddler bed that their little one has grown out of and that's being dropped round tomorrow. We won't need anything until baby grows out of the crib and needs S's cot so a while off yet but was weird thinking of my little boy being in a 'proper' bed!!
