We have a Britax seat and isofix base. H has just put it in the car and its all clipped in but very wobbly, is this normal? We perhaps mistakenly thought it would be rock solid, no movement at all?

My H has an A3, our car seat is the same - I assumed that in the event of a crash, the seat belt would kick in and pull the seat in towards the seat

I have the same car and did have the same seat. I don't remember being wobbly as such, but definitely not rock solid. You can't get it wrong really, as long as its clipped in and the leg is correct it will be fitted right.

Can you pop along to a local shop and get them to check it, if fitted with isofix the base should be solid and not wobbly.

We have A3 but have the familyfix base with maxi cosi pebble once the base is in properly with the leg down and chair in then it isn't wobbly. Deafinately worth a trip to halfords or similar to get it checked.

We have the Britax and Isofix and I don't remember it being wobbly in my A3. It wasn't totally stable without a baby in, but only a bit noisy, not wobbly x

Thanks everyone we didnt think it was right! I phoned kiddicare where we got it and they are going to get one of their car seat installation team to call us, I think its the leg that's not right, if so they said they'll swap it.
