Following on from JB's formula thread............
I was planning on using the ready made formula too. Last time we used SMA which came in 250ml cartons so almost a full 8 oz feed. This time however I'm thinking of using Cow and Gate basically cos it's cheaper and also because the SMA is now in those bottles instead of cartons and they've hiked the price.
However, the C&G and Aptamil ready made cartons are only 200ml which is a fair bit short of a full feed. Those who use the cartons, do you just accept that baby gets less, do they not look for more after they've finished the 200ml? Not that Max ever took a full feed so I'm sure it won't be an issue but you never know! This one might be a hungry boy!

See you want bigger cartons and I want smaller ones ... they can't keep up happy can they.

I use C&G with A. She's had 7oz (200ish ml) bottles since being about 5-6 months old. But before that whenever I've used the pre made cartons she's not looked for more afterwards and the carton has been sufficient.

If needed we took a couple of cartons when out but I'm sure by the time he needed more he was on solids .Making up feeds isnt that bad when you get used to it again, honest, but having a stash of cartons is so much easier.

Cartons will last 24 opened on fridge so can always open another and save the rest. Also aptamil, don't know about other brands, do large cartons now
