Hi I have anti d and soon will again for the third time round with this one and each time it took a few minutes and was sent home immediately. I've had it both at gp and hospital and neither needed me to stay. :)

I've just had baby number 3 and I've had to have anti d's throughout all and as stubbornbrit said only lasts a couple of mins then you go home all I will say is always ask them to put it in your bum muscle and wiggle your toes (it helps trust me) as in the arm it does hurt. Xxxxxxx

Sorry also the only thing I've heard take that amount of time is the glucose tolerance test maybe they have got it confused with that? Xxxxxxx

Just had my 28 week appt and my anti d all in all appt took about 40mins. Bloods were taken for anti bodies urine was checked and I was given my anti d. They now do it in your arm as I needs to go directly into the muscle ( they had issues doing it in the buttocks because of this) and it wasn't painful at all. It was over in seconds....try not to get yourselves worked up about it as for me it was like having bloods taken hope this helps
