Hi girls,
I am currently looking at prams, hubby is not fussed what we get. Thought i liked the look of silver cross sleepover but wont use sleepover part so seems a waste of money. The lady in the shop suggested the freeway.Has anyone got any experience of this and any good or bad reviews? Also love the emmaljunga prams bu they are very expensive.xx
I had a Freeway for ds. When he was little I loved it, I liked the fact that it just has one 'pram body' which can lie flat or sit up (or recline), so you don't have a separate carrycot to store, and don't have to decide between a carrycot or pushchair option when you leave the house - as he got a bit bigger it was useful to sit him up so he could look around, then lie him flat when he fell asleep. On the downside, it is quite big, we had a Golf and it filled the boot, and also it isn't the easiest thing to maneouvre, especially not off-road.
Do have a look at one in a shop, and get them to show you how to put it down in one piece and have a practice - they'll tell you it collapses in one piece but I didn't find it that easy to do, and always ended up taking it apart.
When he got to about 8 months we did get a more lightweight stroller, which was easier to manage - but this seems to be the case for just about everyone.
If I have buggy envy, it's usually for the Bugaboo, or maybe the I-candy cherry - although for the price I do think the Freeway is a good pram.
I have the freeway.......It was the best one for me as I also like the fact that the pram and pushchair is all one.....(the symbio graco came a close 2nd - but that hd the pram and buggy separate)
hubby is much taller than me so I loved the adjustable hndle (Im only 5"2....
I have a peugeot 307 and it also fills the boot but I wanted one where the pram part goes in 1st then the chassis......(I didn't want one where you had to put the chassis in 1st - it would mean you would have to put the pram part on the floor while you callapse the chassis....
I cant wait to use mine in October....
