As the title says really? If so, how did you deal with it? Not sure whether to continue trying the blanket or just to leave it for now. Thanks in advance.

Personally I wasn't planning to for a while, they make baby sleeping bags up til age 3 so although we're moving him to a bed soon,  I thought why change the bedding. I was thinking we'd wait until he was old enough to be excited about having "big boy" duvets.

We've moved J out of a grobag because he screams blue murder every time we try to zip him into one, but ideally I'd rather not have, as I'm not sure he's ready for the duvet yet. The first time we tried he kept waking up in the night with the duvet off so we persisted with the grobags for a couple more weeks, but it was getting to be too match of a battle, so we've gone back to the duvet. I'm still not convinced he's managing to pull it over himself if he wriggles in the night, but he's slept through ok the last week, mostly, so we're going with it for now! We've been getting him to practice covering himself during the day as a game, but other than that I'm not sure there's much we can do to train him.

Thanks both! Saisi, I was going to just get the 18-36 month grobag but my main concern was that E has become quite a climber and I thought it might be safer her having her legs free rather than contained to otherwise she might fall on her face! Unfortunately, the grobag doesn't seem to deter her from climbing - it's just an extra challenge! I have a very defiant little madam (apparently my fault as I'm the same!)

Spikey, we play that game too and she loves it! However, whenever it all comes to actually sleeping under it she screams blue murder! I don't know it's the noise it makes or the weight of it but she just seems to hate it! We're currently working our way through every type of blanks to find one she doesn't object too as much! It's a very tiring process as she's woken up screaming every night for a week now! zzzzzzzzzzzz
