To be honest the bump is really my flabby stomache but at least being pregnant I can pretend it's really the baby! I've spent the morning watching TV, contemplating going for a walk. Also had a good cry - my hubby said that's good as it means I'm finally showing some emotion! What are you signed off for? I'm off with depression, although it feels really different to the depression I've had in past. I'm about 10 weeks gone - dating scan on Thurs.

i'm signed off for nausea, exhaustion and IBS. have to say, i'm not enjoying pregnancy much so far. i work in sales so it's not really the kind of job you can do when you feel like crap.
i didn't realise that you could get prenatal depression. i've had depression in the past, so i'm a bit worried that i might suffer post natal. you poor thing. can they give you medication for it while you're pregnant?

I'm a teacher, again another job that it's hard to do if feeling like crap. I didn't realise you could get prenatal depression either, I was just worried about postnatal. Apparently prenatal depression is more common. I am already on Prozac - changed from my normal medication at Christmas as Prozac is almost 100% safe for babies. Doc and MW say that after 12 weeks the placenta starts doing most of the work and the depression will probably lift. I'm not enjoying pregnancy either, which is weird as I wanted a baby for so long.

God girls, I really feel for you both. My sickness was awful and didn't stop til 14 weeks. I worked in a shop and it wasn't very pleasant working there! My exhaustion hasn't disappeared yet either and I'm clocking on for 21 weeks now, and I ahev the smallest of bumps ever - so small its just non existant - to the poitn I'VE BEEN TOLD i DON'T EVEN LOOK PREGNANT! Charming eh? I have days when I feel seriously depressed, I felt like everyone was abandoning me now that I'm pregnant. I hardly go out now and spend almost every night in with my husband. I don't mind this but it'd be nice to know you were thought about wouldn't it? I still have on and off days now but since my little girls started moving I've started focussing on that and often talk to her now. That may make me sound insane but she's in there for a reason and I'd never want her to feel lonely. Crying is good for emotions -trust me - I've done a lot of it! It releases all my frustrations and I tend to feel much better after it. The only things I can recommend for tiredness is LOTS of naps (I love mine) and the sickness definitely try the acupressure bands from Boots xxx

You hear stories about horrible births but no-one ever said pregnancy itself could be so tough. I've talked to my stomach a few times although feel pretty stupid doing it. Looking forward to having a picture to look at. This board is a godsend to know we're not alone.

Good Luck MrsC! I'd hate to be doing lessons now whilst i'm pregnant! My brain is very fluffy and tend to forget things, like yesterday I was driving to pick my cat off from the vets and all of a sudden I felt weird and TOTALLY forgot where I was going!! xxx

what would pregnant women do if there were no tears to cry?
You're only too close to a parked car if you hit it!
