    Hi,
I had an early m/c in December at 5+2 and fell pregnant again in January with no AF in between, I'm now 20+2 and expecting twin boys. I had my 20 week scan this week and all is healthy. I think they advise to wait longer for your cycles to get back on track and for dating purposes. We also lost a baby back in September last year at 27 weeks and i was advised by my midwife at the time that we could start trying as soon as i felt i was ready. We did start again straight away but didn't fall pregnant until December. So i think it's up to the individual to know when they want to try again, only you know how your mind and body are body are feeling. Good luck xx

Hi, we had a miscarriage and just had one cycle inbetween the tried and fell in feb.

The hosp 'advised' one cycle, but there is no set rule so to speak! I think it's up to you and you need to see how you mentally feel as well as listening to your body! xxx

I know one of the girls in DIN did exactly the same, and i know that the drs and hosp wouldn't believe she was pregnant kept saying it was still the miscarriage etc. can't remember how she managed to convince them, may be worth nosing our post in there??

Good luck Baby Love, and sorry to hear about the MC. Sticky dust for the next Beanie xxx

Thanks ladies and sorry for your losses.

Its still early days as only found out last wed that out bean had died @ 9weeks. Just had D&C done on monday but I know I will just want to keep going. Waiting a few months is not going to make this loss any easier to deal with.
I do need to have a long talk with OH as I know he wants to try again but not sure he would be ready just so soon.

That must have been hard to deal witha nd I hope that you are recovering from the op ok x make sure you rest up a bit x

I had long chats with Hubby, as well as rants of 'you just don't care' and 'you're ashamed my body did this' as he didn't speak to or tell any of his mates! it really helped thou, as we were able to have a real heart to heart.

Certainly not heard anywhere that concieving straight after MC is more likely to cause a MC xxx

    Hi.

I got pregant 10 days after my last day of bleeding and have had no associated problems. I jsut had to have an early scan to dtermine how far along I was. Emotionally it was a lot to deal with but I am so happy it happened that way. I just wanted to pregnant again!

    Hi hun
So sorry to hear of your MC. I lost mine in Oct last year, had D&C early October and after 5 weeks with no AF, I found out I was pregnant again. I am now almost 31 weeks and everything has been totally fine this time round.
It is completely yours and your partners decision on what to do with regards to waiting. My MW told me that they advise to allow AF so that it is easier to date in the early stages but thats mostly all. We got pregnant right away and I didnt get a row from anyone.
    Take care xx

    Hi sweetie,

I had a mc in November at 6+2, had an AF got pg again then had another mc at 6+5. I'm now 10+3 with no AF inbetween, so to be honest I don't think there is one fast rule.

The key I think is to TTC again when you feel ready too, the first time around I really didn't want to be pg again and so waited, however after my last mc I wanted to be pg ASAP so didn't wait.

Just do what feels right to you.

I had a miscarriage last year at 6 weeks and we were told to one for one cycle for dating purposes and also to let your body recover. Needless to say we didn't! I think we conceived on our first attempt and I am now the proud mummy of a 12 week old little boy.

Thank you so much ladies. It is so scary how common mc is. I dont know how i will cope getting preg again with the worry of something going wrong. If I had been scanned a week earlier I would have thought all was ok and then I would have found out baby had died at 12 weeks. Even an early scan will not put my mind at ease next time as I know all was going great this time untill whatever happened happened

    Sorry for the ramble xxx

So sorry for your loss babylove.

I had a m/c starting 6th Feb - thats the date now counted as my LMP. I was measuring my temperatures and ovulated 15 days later. I got my BFP 10 days dpo. I was an absolute nervous wreck, for weeks, wound up like a spring, waiting for the same to happen again. Nothing could reassure me, not even the early scan I paid for. Now, at 14+4, I am beginning to think about what the future of the pregnancy and our baby might look like, but I'm still scared as hell.

Someone said to me that when a woman falls pregnant, it is the beginning of a lifetime of worrying. I liked that, it helped me feel like my worry it the beginning of my motherhood.

I had a mc at 5 + 5 in Jan 09. I got pg straight away, no af, and am now the proud mummy of 7.5 month old identical twin boys.

I was always told by my hospital that the reason for waiting was for dating purposes. I didnt really care about that...wanted to be pg again!

Hi Babylove sorry for your loss. Hope you are coping. i had a miscarriage at 6+5 in October last year. Had the d+c on the 20th oct and then conceieved on the 6th Nov, not intentially just random bedroom fun. Did'nt realise until after xmas. Stupid i know but I think I may have been kidding myself and at that point I was quite raw with emotions etc. Found out between xmas and new year. I'm now 27+6 days and yes i'm constantlyknicker checking but thats just me. Good luck hope the next one is a sticky one. take care, if you want to chat or anything. Amanda

when ttc my daughter, i miscarried, and the very next cycle, fell pregnant with her. when ttc this baby, i miscarried, and again, the very next cycle fell pregnant. its happened to me twice. i like to think my LOs get to have a little guardian angel each before they are sent to me. and apparently, you are more fertile after a MC. i also think it helps that i wasnt 'trying' the months i had succesful pregnancies, after the MCs, i took it easy and it happened. im now 32 weeks. x

    Hi Ladies,

Mine was the original post in ttc after mc. I did think about posting here but went for pg after mc instead.

This seems to be the general consesus. I had a feeling my doctor was talking rubbish as i'd never been told it before despite many visits to a&e and gynaecology!

Gracie19 that is a lovely way to think about it, almost brought a tear to my eye! My next little bubba was sent a guardian angel :\) I often think that because my OH was changing his mind all the time about ttc, then he was adamant he wanted a boy but since the mc he is desperate to ttc again for a baby of any gender! So i guess my angel was sent as a guardian angel!

Luckily we decided to BD anyway so fingers crossed i'll be back over here soon!
