I am looking at getting an ergo baby carrier but I am new to baby wearing/carrying/slinging, didnt do it last time, but want to this time as i think it will make life easier with the school run etc.
Does anyone know if an Ergo carrier is any good or are there better slings and carriers out there.
Any help is much appreciated.

I've not tried one, but Ergos are great slings. They do need a newborn insert for littlies though.

I've never tried an ergo myself but I know that there are a lot of fakes of this brand around, so avoid e-bay etc. I've a connacta and a manduca. Both a similar type of carrier to the Ergo, I believe. Personally I much prefer the Manduca, particularly for a newborn as it has a newborn insert and it also has safety catches and a more structured waist band. Thr connecta, i prefer in hotter weather as it is literally an oblong of material with straps and buckles. If you put Manduca into Amazon, there is quite a good range on there. They also have a good resale price.

The ergo are great, although I think I prefer the manduca too. I'd only buy ergo from a proper retailer though as there's loads of fakes.
Ergo and manduca are more structured with padded straps and waistband whereas the connecta is more like a hybrid between buckle carrier and mei tai.
