It gives me great pleasure to be able to announce the safe arrival of Baby Girl Sapphire. Name is yet to be decided. Born this morning at 4.16am weighing 8lb 12oz. Another pretty quick labour in the end after all the messing about earlier in the week. She's passed her test that needed to be done because of the polyhydramnios and everything seems to be going to plan so they are hoping to be allowed home tonight. Sapphire would like to enjoy a small bailey's for New Year's Eve.
Huge congratulations to the Sapphire family. What a brilliant start to the New Year!

Thank you everyone!
Well as an update for you - I unfortunately didn't get to spend NYE at home with a Bailey's in hand as during her check Miss Seren Rose had a very slight heart murmur detected so we had to stay in for observation and the paed team to review on NY Day. I'm very pleased to say that in that time they were impressed with how she was doing and by the time the registrar came around he was happy that the heart murmur had corrected itself by then and just for us to keep an eye on things.
We've all been settling into our new family life and today I'm extra happy as the bf seems to have really taken off, so far no extra top up feeds have been needed. This is a massive deal for me as M had a tongue tie and she lost over 10% of her birth weight which led us to being readmitted. I spent the first few weeks being constantly anxious that she wasn't going to be having enough. So when Seren was weighed at the weekend and she'd only lost 6%, I was very happy/relieved - even happier when she was weighed yesterday and she was only a few ounces off her birth weight.
I don't have any photos on this computer so I'll attempt to flash you a pic in a minute using my phone...
