I am 20 weeks pregnant and since my first scan Ive always been told my Boy is really low.
Just had another check up and they told me they cannot believe just how low he is they said he is pretty much cupped in my pelvis under the hairline thats how low - should I be worried?

That is low. Did they say if they were worried or if it was unusal. This is my first so not much help. Hope you get some answers

Well in the early days they just said he will move don't worry but obviously now at 20 weeks she did say she would have expected him purely for his own comfort purposes to have moved up.
She said at my next scan (9th July) they should check for Placenta Priva.
I feel awful for saying this but due to him being so low every-time he moves or kicks it is so painful its not a nice experience at all, she said he is kicking my cervix essentially. I don't have a bump at all due to carrying so low and Ive been told at other scans im carrying little water too so what I am feeling is like skin on skin so painful.
Thanks for the reply x

Didnt they give you more information on what that means?? Surely if it was something to worry they would have spolen to a consultant. And what does placenta priva mean? cant imagine how painful it must be for you but hope he wriggles up highe. best u take it easy and not do much bending etc. tc

Well its a little complicated because the whole reason I was there is because due to a childhood accident Ive recently been told its too dangerous to carry him past 36-37 weeks so it was a routine docs app to get a referral to urgent physiotherapy and pain clinic for hip pain, its not SPD it really is caused by previous injury's however the fact he is laying so low in my already unstable pelvis is not the best.
Placenta Priva is basically where the placenta is laying low and blocks the exit for baby I am not saying its not serious but in my case as I already know I am having a c section it wont make things a whole lot worse but can cause extra bleeding things like that, its normally diagnosed when a baby is laying low past mid pregnancy, I called my midwife after the doctors app to confirm he still had not moved and she said not to worry until next scan but she said she is so shocked he wont move himself because when I sit down its the equivalent to me sitting on his head.
It is so painful its taken the beauty out of my kicks its like being kicked in the vagina sorry tmi, a lot of people are telling me he has plenty of time to move up and also I should be great full because ladies ...at 20 weeks pregnant you would not know at all!, they did say the physiotherapy may encourage him to move but I suppose all will be revealed at the next scan.
thanks for the support x

OO amazing, I was due Nov 19th but have been told to pencil out last week of October for C section.
Do you have any idea when we actually get to know the date? is it not until a lot closer?
26/06/2015 at 12:38
I think it will depend on the individual case hun and your individual curcumstances. they are looking around 33 wks for me so thats October time. I have to have c section as im having triplets and in your case it may be due to your injury?? But yes deffo closer to time they will book you in in advance. Just means for us we have to get all the shopping done earlier

Oh that sounds so painful. I wonder if because you've got low water that's where the water is so he's following it. I really hope for both your sakes that he moves soon and stops kicking you in the cervix. I hope physio helps things along. Good luck with the scan x

My baby is still under pelvis has well, I've complained of not feeling anything yet but now that I think about, sometimes I feel something near my cervix and never thought it was the baby, I have next to no bump either lol, hopefully they move up sooner rather than later,it is uncomfortable feeling kicks that far low lol x

I had an awful day yesterday I couldn't sleep due to the heat and in turn he just was booting and kicking me so hard the pain actually made me sick.
FLAXLEY- wow triplets!!!! congratulations

Oh gosh Alba, that sounds awful!!! My heart goes out to you - you've been looking forward to being pregnant for so long and you can't enjoy it properly because of how he's lying!! I hope things ease soon for you. Maybe the way he's lying is also due to the injury you had? I don't know about these things. Let us know xx

I think you could be right teabag he is just sat cupped into my pelvis as its the perfect shape.
I am defiantly going to be disguising this at my next scan its now becoming painful to change gear when I drive.
How is everyone finding the heat?

Just an update had a scan yesterday and suspected I do have placenta priva.
My placenta and baby are laying low blocking his exit and its attached to the back wall of my uterus.
Lucky for me as I am already booked in for c section this wont effect me but just thought I would let you all know x
