Is anyone else braving the baby show this weekend?
I am going Sunday and hoping to definately decide on a pram and order it there.
Am going with hubby and my parents and my sister!! Big family outing, but my parents are buying the pram so thought we had better offer them to come with us to have a look at tthem and they jumped at the chance!

Think I have norrowed it down to either an icandy peach or bugaboo chameleon, but might change my mind once i am there, just hoping that somewhere there has both of these!

Also looking for moses basket and stand there

Will you girls stroke the shiny pushchairs and aaaah at the cute clothes for me please??

same for me miss impatient. we started to order our tickets on line but had issues trying to get the garndparetnt tickets, so emailed the company. by the time they got back to me we had worked ouyt from the nw it would be an 8 hour round trip (i assume that's with no traffic too!). there are no easy trains to london either. i went to london twice from leeds when i was at uni and it was MUCH easier than trying to get there from lancashire! and the trains are sooo expensive. i have just seen an advert for plane to malta which is less than half the price of train to london!

I went and it was really overwhelming! It was much much better than I was expecting it to be though so make sure you take someone with you as you'll need a hand with all your shopping!

I got a birthing ball and tens machine from the 'miracle box' people and that was ??55 which was about a ??15 discount. I had already bought my pram so didn't hover there so can't help on what sorts of discount they're offering. There is a fairly big mothercare concession with 10% off everything and one of the stands had mamas and papas things at quite a good discount. There were also lots of nursery furniture places which was great for me as we haven't chosen ours yet and as a result we found a range (finally) that ticked all the boxes - looked good, drop side cot with 2 mattress positions and matching furniture items that you can mix and match.

I can honestly say I have never seen so many bugaboos in one place!!

    Have a great time!

I agree with Peepoe, definately have someone to carry your bags. We got a good few bagains and even ordered our pram!! - yes the Peach! Only 1 stand had it - baby planet. It was ??110 cheaper tha stores for the travel system.

    Sooo many bugaboos wandering round.

Enjoy all those who are attending today.

Did anyone else order their pram at the show?
I'm thinking of going to the one in Feb to see if i can get a good deal on the pram but am wondering if that's leaving it a bit late to order it as I'll be 7 months pg by then.

We ordered an iCandy Peach at the show today and I'm 26 weeks (due 23 Jan) - they said to expect delivery from the first week in December so you should be OK ordering at 7 months.... as long as your baby doesn't arrive early!! It all depends on what you're ordering, might be worth doing a bit of research before you go to get an idea of lead times, just in case.
We also ordered reusable nappies from Lollipop - the lady was really helpful (as were all of the people we spoke to at real nappy stands) and we felt like we got a good deal on them.

I was a bit disappointed that there wasn't anyone selling Amby hammocks or Tummy Tubs as I think these both look like great products and we had the car with us so had plenty of room!

What colour did you get Sharmy? We went for Sweet Pea as turquoise is my fave colour. I also got a turquoise leather changing bag which I absolutely adore, it looks like a big posh handbag so I'm tempted to start using it now!

Hope everyone else enjoyed the show!

I went on Friday - had a great time and must admit never seen so many buggy's, at one point one aisle looked like the M25!

Was good, spent about 4 hours there before I started to flag! Think its good if you dont have pram, cot furniture etc. We did get lots of cr*p leaflets etc which we sorted through when we got home!

Bought hangers 6 for ??1,20 which I thought was good value, and somehow an OiOi changing bag came into the equasion HAHA! Tee hee, had to get something for Mummy!

Also found a great stand called www.simplycolors.co.uk that do personaslised baby and child clothes, we got a cute top with baby's name and 09 on and also a 50% mum, 50% dad and 100% Luca on a baby gro for about ??15!
