I put mainly practical bits in discos stocking last year, so baby cup, weaning bowl and spoons, vests, socks, baby toileteries, some soft blocks, a new teether

Thanks drifter. I have more cups and spoons than I need already lol, might get him a nice wee cutlery set though. Same with socks lol, joy of 3rd child - think I have about 30 pairs. Teether a good idea, think i only have a couple. Oh I could put dummies in!
P was 10 months last year and i did a few things for her stocking...bath toys, snacks, socks, a few musicla instrument type toys, a flannel, sun shaped sponges, a squeaky flashing ball toy thingy....i found sainsburys were good for little, non expensive toys to fill it up. Oh yes and some spoons and forks.

Thanks AR, will get some bath squirters. Sainsburys toy sale starts next week so will pop in and see if they have any cheap bits

Most of my LOs presents so far have been stocking fillers, but ideas for that age are.. Books, bibs, slipper socks, stacking cups, balls to chase, musical bits- clackers and a tambourine are favourites here. Bath toys too, foam letters, swimming fishes, little winter bonnet/gloves. Cracker made from loo roll and sensory materials,

Funnily enough I was just thinking the same. It was easier with Zoe as she was almost 1yr old and also as she had birthday & Christmas close together we got stuff that would last the whole years age range.
This is going to sound very mean but I was going to go up in to the loft and go in the big box of baby toys and pick a few out to go in to Orla's stocking. She doesn't have a Sophie the giraffe so had been thinking of getting her that. Like the idea of some nice bandana bibs.

Not mean at all jb, Samuel is going to have a life of hand me downs lol. He's getting bath toys for Christmas but only cos we needed new ones anyway. Really a present for all 3 but I'll put them in S' s pile so it looks like he's got presents

M will only be three months but I have got some stacking cups, a little people wheely car, Tomy egg things and some gruffalo board books. Other things I plan on getting are a pack of nappies, perhaps some dummies if he's using them, some clothes and I might try and get something personalised like a name jigsaw or picture for his room. A tradition in our house is for the children to get new PJ's on Xmas eve so he'll get some too.
