I am hopeful this will be my last 3rd Tri post! I think this might be it for me! about 8pm last night i had a very sharp pain in my back. about half ten H and i went to bed as i'd been cramping intermittently, but it wasn't too bad that i thought i could sleep through it. cue half 11 and the cramping felt a little stronger. i lay until midnight before deciding that the only way H was going to get any sleep was if i got up. so I went through to the living room and started timing how often these cramps were happening. They weren't too bad, were lasting about forty seconds and were coming every 15 minutes. i then tried to get some sleep, but was woken up by the pains. by 4am i decided to wake H as the pains were starting to get a bit more intense. we've been timing them since and they are now roughly every ten minutes, lasting about fifty seconds and boy are they sore!
Oddly, i'm still not convinced this is it because the pain is only in my lower back and my lower tummy/pelvic region below the belly button...not what i was expecting my contractions to feel like.

Crashing to reassure you that early contractions were mainly in my back, I think you can rest assured that this is it! Best of luck, look forward to seeing your BA soon! Oh and if you can, eat now.

Oh so exciting, hope this is it for you and we are reading your BA later today :-) good luck!
Nothing to report here, 32 weeks today, not quite sure where the time is going. Our toddler group is having a garden party today so off to that later. Looks like another lovely sunny day so hopefully get all the washing out on the line before we go out. Managed to get 5 loads washed, dried and ironed yesterday but I was shattered by the end of the day!

Thanks ladies! I've had my breakfast and phoned the maternity assessment unit to double check when I should go in. Think it's going to be a long day at this rate! :-)
Ally - hope the garden party goes well! Cracking day for it!!

RKB- hope to see your Ba later today or tomorrow. Hope it all goes smoothly and quickly!
Ally- garden party sounds like fun! I've also put dome washing on after seeing the sun this morning, although this is the first we've seen of it all week!
Not much to report here. Been quite stressful at work the past couple of days with the head basically telling all the teachers off for not updating a certain type of assessment enough, even though everyone had updated it to Easter, and have all used other types of assessment to show progress like class lists and guided reading sheets. Most of us normally update it half termly, but it's the start of report writing so we are starting that instead. It was not delivered in a good way in the staff meeting and we never normally have problems. Led to a very awkward day yesterday with teachers avoiding the staff room. Thank goodness it's half term! Going to try and get some decorating done and school work, although I now have more to do than I was planning on!

Afm.. No news.. Totally sick of calls and texts asking if I have had any twinges! Me and h are going to go out today and carry on as normal.. Have a walk and some lunch out.. Try and invoke the law of sod!

Good luck RKB! X
Bexy- sounds like a good plan! Maybe 'forget' your phone and leave it at home when you go out so you dont have to deal with the texts!

Morning bg, rusty, Ferbs and maisiemoo

RKB, eek how exciting! With G my early labour was all in my back too.
Ally wow, good job on the washing. I need to make a start on baby stuff really - the weather is so unreliable at the moment I should take advantage when it's sunny.
bunny - yuck for crappy work stuff, but yay for half term!
bexy - hope something happens for you soon (urgh, I remember the hassling starting about a week before EDD!)
AFM - 31+2 and glad I'm heading for the home straight... I hate to say it but I'm rubbish at being pregnant and I'm struggling with SPD/sore hips and a million other things. I can't sleep and just feel a bit meh in general. Work sucks and am glad I only have 4 weeks left there. It's a lovely sunny day though, so inspired by Ally I think I may do a load of small clothes today. Have been in denial so far but my sister ordered my cot for me t'other day, and I've just had a mothercare delivery with stuff like breast pads, maternity pads, infacol and other essentials, so starting to feel as though we're gradually getting ready. Am definitely being much more laid back this time!!
Have a lovely bank holiday weekend all.

Good RKB. Mine started in my back too. Hope to see your BA today.
Ally - hope the garden party is fun.
Bunny - hope you manage to rest at some point. Least you have a week off of not being there.
Bexy - definitely leave your phone at home. Enjoy lunch out.
AFM - my first post in 3rd tri. That's scary. Can't believe I'm here already. This pregnancy is definitely going quicker than the last one. Just got back from a lovely week at Butlins. So not what I imagined. Had a really good time. Loved watching D interact with other children and have such a ball. H and I got some much needed time away from the stresses of daily life. Off out tonight for SIL's birthday. Hoping I can get away with sitting quietly in the corner. My spd is killing me this morning. Think I slept funny. Got our 3d/4d scan on Wednesday. I know they're not everyone's cup of tea but I love them.
Hi to all that follow x
25/05/2013 at 08:56
Missed you there Dinx. Feel your pain with the spd. It's horrid. You're doing better than me. I have bought nothing x
25/05/2013 at 09:16
RKB - glad things are happening for you, hope it's not too long now!
Ally - enjoy your party, sounds like a productive day yesterday.
Bunny - that sucks about the assessment stuff, that's what our school used to be like but it's a lot better these days. Rest up and enjoy half term.
Dinx - you're far more organised than me! Think I'll do a shop once the summer holidays start or just before and get all that sort of stuff.
Daisy - sounds like a lovely break, hope you can hide in the corner today.
AFM, not a lot to report. Need to pack today to go away tomorrow, clean out the chickens and make some muffins to take with us too, other than that not much planned - at least the rain has stopped! Baby is still really wriggly, hoping that H can get the nursery decorated whilst we're away so I can start sorting out stuff.
25/05/2013 at 10:22
"forgetting" my phone sounds like a plan!
Dinx...enjoy the sunshine and getting those cute little clothes on the line!
Daisy..the break away sounds good..ive heard butlins is much improved these days.....hope you enjoy tonight and the spd eases...
Margot..sounds like a productive day at home.....What flavour muffins?!

Back for personals
RKB - again, loads of luck for labour. I hope that everything goes smoothly and quickly!
Ally - 5 loads of washing is good going! Enjoy your garden party, thankfully the sun is out!
Bunny - sounds like you have had a difficult week. Thank goodness for half term! Hopefully you can fit in some rest at some point!
Bexy - this waiting game is frustrating isn't it?! I have made loads of plans over the next couple of weeks as hoping it will keep my mind off things and also invoke some law of sod! Hope something starts to happen for you shortly. Try and tackle lots of hills on your walk, that's what worked for my friend!
Dinx - poor you struggling with spd. Hope that your next 4 weeks at work pass quickly.
Daisy - welcome to 3rd tri! Sounds like you had good fun whilst away.
Margot - enjoy you time away. Hope that your H gets nursery done!
AFM - had a bit of a scare last night as realised when H came home from work that baby had not moved all day and my stomach had been very hard for extended periods of time. Phoned midwife who told us to pop up to the hopsital to get monitored. Thankfully all was fine and baby loved the machine and started to wriggle about again!
Have very few plans this weekend. It's meant to be lovely and sunny so may do a BBQ at some point. Most baby jobs are all done now so am trying to make the most of time with H just the two of us before baby decides to arrive. We were thinking of going for a walk and coffee later but other than that, a fairly relaxed day.
Can't believe I am 38 weeks today - how did that happen?!?!
25/05/2013 at 11:36
Bexy - banana and raisin, they're yummy!
25/05/2013 at 13:21
Sorry ladies no time for personals. I've been attempting to do some cleaning and gardening - difficult with sciatica but its worse if I sit in one position for two long.
RKB really hoping today is successful and you get to meet your baby!

Just popping my head in to say good luck rkb! X
