What bath products do you use for your little ones? My 21 month old suffers with ezcema and dry skin and I find the bath dries his skin. I've tried oilatum, cetraben and avenno but his skin is still dry afterwards. In his last bath I put in just baby oil and this seemed so much better.

How often are you bathing him?

As I'm sure rusty is about to say, I wouldn't bath him too often atal. I had terrible eczema as a child and still get bad bouts now. I tried everything under the sun. If you get some organic porridge, put a few fist fills in the centre of a nappy liner then tie it up in a pouch iyswim? Use this in the bath. It makes the water really creamy and moisturising, even swish it round him and rub it over him like you would soap, even as an adult it's amazing how much it helps with a bath. Baths when my skin is bad are still really sore and sting but this does make the world of differance.

I only bath him 1-3 times a week. I will try that with the oats! Thanks. Is it just normal porridge oats?

Yep just normal oats. If you use say 2 or three liners then make a mound of oats in the centre and tie it up, say like favours at a wedding? It sounds silly but you will see how nice and creamy it makes the water. I hope your ok too, I had it awfully as a child but I'd didn't phase me at all, when I look back now as a parent, it's my mum I feel for as I know it sued to really upset her. Kids don't bat an eyelid. I'm sure he will grow out of it too x

Thank you, he scratches quite a bit but we have started to keep it under control after finding that the avenno cream suits him we had tried lots of creams

That's actually one I've never tried after all my talk. I'm glad you have found something that's working.

Or else put the oats in a pair or tights tied up.

We're using aveeno eczema therapy cream and oilatum in the bath, but might try the oats!

Dream Cream from Lush smothered all over him after a bath! It's amazing. We use Mustela products on E and M, pricey but one of the few things that I can use knowing it won't cause flare ups. I used Burts Bees in the UK which was fine on Es skin too, I just can't get it over here.
