Random question I know, my friend had her baby yesterday and sustained a bad tear with lots of stitches. Im just off to buy her some pampering presents and my mum thought it might be worth getting her some stuff for a bath. Can you use anything in the bath after stitches? Anything anyone found helped them?

I don't know where you get it from but my nurse nanna bought a bubble bath called badedas as she said it helps. That is as min as I know though its a green bottle

A quick google suggests it has healig properties and mw's recommend it. Also, the power of a box of chocolates shouldn't be underestimated

Lavendar oil is good for preventing infections, I used it in the bath after J to help with the epi stitches.

I used it as soon as I was home from the hospital - I was in for 6 days, so after the first week.
