    G/C from baby

    Hi ladies,

Hope your pregnancies are all going well & that you don't mind me g/c'ing!!

My sister is 21 weeks pg & has a heart-shaped/bicornuate uterus.

I was just wondering if anyone had any experience of this?

    Thank you!

    Ruth xx

    Hi

I have this too but mine is only very mild so my consultant said the risks are very low for me. All the same it means i have to stay consultant led at the hosptial, i have to have an extra scan at 36 weeks to make sure she is the right way round as it could cause her to be a breech baby cos of not having enough room to turn, it can cause prem labour, i also had to have a vaginal swab to check for a certain bacteria which if present can cause prem labour. Thats the only monitoring ive had but it all depends on the severity of it, as long as they are aware they will monitor her hun and she should be fine

I had this with my first baby and it was fine. It stretched as she grew and there were no complications. When I had my first scan with my twin pregnancy, there was no sign of it. It was as if I'd never had it.

I know a girl that had this with her son, for her it meant baby couldn't turn and was breech so ended up with a c-section but all was well with mum and baby
