Hi
Just wondering if anyone else has problems with big boobs? I've always had big boobs for my size, and with a tiny back have had problems in the past getting bras to fit me, but after years of getting to know my body, I found out what worked, where to go etc.
Well now I'm 28 weeks and still wearing underwired bras - I know I shouldn't be but spft cup just do nothing for me at all, they don't fit properly, so my argument is I'm better of wearing an underwire that fits instead of a non wire that doesn't and just wondered if nay of you ladies had experienced anything similar?
Th only problem I'm finding is that in the evening I'm getting a bit uncomfortable and the bottom of my bra rubs the top of my bump making it very sore.
Also, I plan to give breast feeding a try, but nursing bras are the same as non-wired and I just cannot find one to fit, anyone succesfully breastfed wearing normal bras?
Sorry for rambling, just wondered if I was alone?
I was a 30GG / 28H before, now I'm a 34GG / 36G
hi, u can continue to wear underwires aslong as u make sure ur refitted regularly and that no whire is touching/pinching/rubbing the breast tissue., the same, in theory, goes for breastfeeding, but having bf ds with 40G boobs, i would say its impossible/ v v difficult to bf without the aid of a drop down cup. i did try it once at a wedding and it was a nightmareand v uncomortable. u can find (although rare) wired nursing bras, however, as ur boobs change size a fair bit throughout the day (depending on if r due a feed, or just done one) u might find that at certain times they're too tight, and then too loose. i found debenhams nursing bras a godsend (miriam stoppard) they have a double friont, so u don't ahve to get ur whole boob our eitehr, and lets face it, when ur a G cup, thats a lot of boob. and because they're double layered they do offer a tiny bit more support/security. i don't know what i'm gonna do this time as they seem to be the only ones, but they only go up to a 40G, and i'm that anyway, and my boobs haven't grown any yet. but like i say, i wore wired right up til about the week ebfore ds was due, the nursing bras weren't all that comfortable for the first week or so, but once u've got used to them, i found it difficult going back to wires 7 months later lol. hth xx 22+3
Thanks ladies, so glad it's not just me, felt poo the other day when I couldn't find anything to fit me - like I was 18 again. I've tried the Miriam Stoppard ones and they fit like crop tops on me, then I sweat and they're just not comfortable, might give the underrwired feeding bras a go though, and also get some lounging ones for home I think.
Did you both find feeding ok? I'm concerned by boobs will grow to massive proprotions! and be unbearably sore.
Thanks for posting about this, i've had the same problem, i've gone from a DD/E cup to a F/G.
Im 34 weeks and still wearing underwire, however I'm really anxious about breast feeding, and worried about even managing it with my large boobies. All my mates have B/C Cups and seem to still have pert little boobs that babies can latch on to, i cant imagine grappling with so much boob, i hate my large boobs at the best of times, i'm already worried about engorgement, and the like! Also like you said, as much as we try it will be more difficult to be discreet! That said I will try my best!
When do you suggest I go and get measured for nursing bra? Ideally i think should wait until 38ish weeks so i get as close as possible to EDD.
Any recommendations for shops?

can i just ask,
does your back size normally change for nursing bras or just the cup size?
i am a 38G at the moment and was going to get the next cup size up and not change the back size... would this be right or not.
I have spent years of being fitted incorrectly at M&S and Debs so don't have much faith in them... go to bravissimo normally but can't face the trek to my nearest store to get fitted!!
I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't trust high street measurers! I never ask them to meausre me now - I know whats best for me, I've even had them try to talk me in to a bra size that clearly isn't right, because its the nearest size they stock. I'm a bravissimo girl too.
My back size has gone from a 30 to 36, I don't think it will get any bigger but hey you never know! I'm stearign clear of Bravissimo at the moment because I know I'll spend a fortune on something that will only fit for a few weeks and just getting cheaper bras from Debenhams (self fitted - naughty I know)
I plan to go to Bravissimo nearer the time, I'm thinking late 30's too.
Have we found a gap in the market???
Hi, i've got all different sizes in my ebay shop www.ebayshops.co.uk/boobiebabiesboutique
Drop clip nursing bras and comfort bras for ??4.99 sizes 30 to 38 (new stock coming in this week if i havent got it listed) xx
well i went to debenhams and got some "advice" on fitting today she measured me a 44E (36FF bravissimo fit b4 preg and 38G in mat bras with bravissimo).
I then tried some bras on after she had left me in my "own interpretation" i tried the 40G on and TBH it felt spot on... supportive without being tight in the back and supportive in the cup but with SOME room for growth if they get bigger (yikes!!).
I got the Miriam stoppard ones which are on sale @ 12.50 for 2, in 2 different colour ways and they are pretty and supportive.
I am happy with my purchases and relieved as i am now 37 + 5 and was beginning to feel the baby would arrive before i got my bras!!
Selfridges offered really professional and accurate advice after a disasterous attempt at House of Fraser. I was told that bras usually go down a back size and up a cup size from pregnancy to nursing because the rib cage expands to fit the baby during pregnancy and contracts again pretty much immediately after birth. A friend got the same advice from Rigby and Teller.
I've gone from 30E to 34F and should go to 32G after birth.
Agent Provocateur do a couple of really lovely nursing bras in very large sizes if you feel like splashing out. Really really prettty!
