No I haven't. But I don't remember my labour either as I was in a whole world of pain.

yes i did, thankfully the dr doing it realised that it was all so so wrong and we were advised to make a formal complaint, this went on for 14 months though but in the end we got policies changed and a profuse apology.
the dr/mw sits with your notes and goes through them and any questions you may have, it doesnt have to have been traumatic, if you have any concerns or questions they will try to answer, they said its better to do it before any further pregnancys to try to reduce fears iyswim

Yes i did and it was brilliant. G's birth was very traumatic and i couldnt remember much. It really clarified things. You wouldnt be wasting their time - thats what the service is for x

Thanks for the replies. CP - I'm glad policies were changed eventually after yours.
Think I will definitely book one - as Popcorn says it is such an unknown and massive thing, reading birth stories on here makes me realise I really don't remember alot and I wonder if some of this is because of the pain relief I was given.
Does anyone know if you have to have the debrief in the hospital you gave birth in?

I had to give birth in a hospital 1.5 hours away from home however had most of my ante natal appointments at my local hospital (5 minutes away) I'm sure they said my notes would get sent back to my local hospital after birth so just wondered... I'll call and ask tomorrow I think
