I didn't have them last time (that I know of) but last night I had a really bad stomach ache that I guess today is like bad period pain cramps. I saw the midwife today & she said that if they go on for a long time to phone the labour ward, I also googled cramps at 29 weeks & got lots of threads about BH. Could this be a sign of BH? Or just that I've eaten badly on my holiday or overdone it? As this is my 2nd baby I don't now see the mw again until 34 weeks. I'm having a sofa day today & trying not to read anything into it (especially as baby was very wriggly over night & this this morning) but wondered what to look out for if it is BH, thanks

With my first I had practically no BH's. With this pregnancy I have been getting them for the last 3 weeks or so. They start low, under my bump and build up spreading around to my back (or start in my back and move to the front) and they can spread down the front of my thighs. They are starting to really hurt -like bad period pains but can "peak" and have me standing still breathing through them. I could'nt get up or move during the bad ones. They can last up to 2 mins but they have absolutely no routine..... I told my midwife but after a check my cervix is still closed so they are only BH's. I guess I get 3-4 a day.
I am not sure if BH's can hurt more with a 2nd pregnancy but I am finding them very tough with my 4 year old having to tell her to wait on me if I have a bad one.
Hope I did'nt scare anyone

I don't think it was BH I was experiencing yesterday, maybe just a big growth spurt! Will know what to keep an eye out for
