My son is nearly 1 and has always been a rubbish sleeper since 16 weeks so I went against everything I believe and we did CC with him. On his 6th night things improved drastically but now he is wakening up extremely early, this morning was 4.15am.
Any tips on how to change this? he is still shattered and if I bring him in with me he will sleep until 7ish but I get up for work about 6ish so I can't leave him in my bed and if I lift him he wakes up.

What time does he go down to bed? What are naps like? I hope this is just a phase for your sake x

Hi TP, I'm glad things have started to improve, much deserved, but owch on the early rising, anything before 6 really isn't acceptable is it?! Sam has had the odd day of this and it is a total pita but luckily not too often. You fix one thing and another breaks!
Have you heard of the thing where you gently rouse them 15 minutes before their usual early wake? I don't know the name of it and can't remember where I read it. It's tricky as I don't think F always wakes at the same time from what you're saying, but it could still be worth a shot... Basically you gently wake them, then cuddle back to sleep or whatever, and they are then reset and should drift back into a proper sleep, rather than pinging awake for the day at stupid o'clock. It's meant to take about 3 days to work and then shouldn't be needed.
