    Hi girls,

Just wondering what brand you're going for, or are they pretty much the same? I was just looking on the Mothercare website and they've got a box of 100 for ??4.99 which seems like a good deal but are they any good?

    Thank you in advance!

    g/c from baby

i tried loads of diferent tupes of breast pads and tbh the best were johnsons, but very closely followed by morrisons....which had more in but half the price so bought those ones most of the time (50 for ??1.79ish)they were very comfy, and werne't sticky backed ones so easy to re position after a feed etc but they were moulded shaped so weren't sliding about all over the place eitherxx

    Hi hon
I have just gone for whatever was on special. I got the johnsons ones but they were pretty expensive normally. I do'nt really know which is best but I guess they all do the same thing.

Will also give my vote for johnsons, when I have sore nipples they are nice a cushioned and doesnt absorb the lansinoh cream i cant live without. BUT they absorb lots of leaky milk.

Avoid the Tommee Tippee ones they really suck, too thin and dont absorb any milk.

I use loads and the johnsons are best value too as they dont need changing as much as others i've tried.

Thanks girls! Will keep my eyes open for any deals on the Johnsons ones. I guess it's just trial and error more than anything!

I used Boots - WASHABLE ones - totally brill given that my milk could spray across the room and I only needed to use 2 in a day!!! And the cheapest option cos I only needed about 10 pairs and then they just went through the wash!

I'll 2nd that, I used washable ones as well (Avent) and they are comfier, cheeper and absorb more! You'll probably be washing daily with a tiny baby anyway so it's no trouble to sling them in the wash.

My cousin swears by Lillipadz. I can't say I know much about them as have no idea what to look for in breast pads! But they get good reviews here on Amazon so I've ordered some:

Will also get some 'normal' absorbent ones though.

I got 2 boxes of tommee tippee ones so 100 altogether and I am lucky don't leak much only used 2 of them, so they were a waste of money for me really, hopefully find someone who wants them.

I went to the baby show and they were doing 3 boxes of tommee tippee breast pads (50 per box I think) for ??5 so thought I'd give those a try. They're slightly domed!! x

I bought Johnsons, Lansinoh and Tommee Tippee - and 9 weeks on still have pretty much full boxes of all! I have only leaked a couple of times so I don't use them. Something worth bearing in mind before you stock up on loads...!

When i was using them early on I prefered Johnsons but can't comment on their absorbancy as I was only wearing them 'just in case'

Mickos - it will depend on your milk production too as i could feed 5 babies how much i produce but some only produce what they need and dont leak whereas i leak constantly.
