So at 20 weeks, and still with over supply, and 5 bouts of mastitis requiring antibiotics we are (with the support of my health visitor) going to try full drainage, block feeding. We have been doing block feeding for about 3 weeks now, and although it is helping a bit, my supply is still too much. (info on the technique here: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2075483/ )
Going to start at the next feed with full drainage then start the 3 hour blocks. But I'm not sure how this works overnight? A goes between 5 and 6 hours between feeds overnight, I'm assuming I just alternate sides at that point?
Going to phone the La Leche League helpline in a bit to see if they can help, but any advice or experience is appreciated.
Off to get A dressed but will come back to this in a bit. thanks

No advice or help from me, but didn't want to read and run. Well done you for persevering. I think people don't always realise that over-supply can be as stressful as under-supply. Good luck x

Block feeding helped me within 24 hours although wasn't as bad as yours is sounding. Have you spoken to LLL yet? The LC I see has been helping a lady who has had an oversupply issue, and she's been drinking sage tea. Not recommended unless really bad, but I've heard that it does help. I wouldn't do it without the advice from an expert though.

I'm afraid I've got no experience of this but I really hope you get the support you need as the LLL really helped me x

Thanks for the replies
TSC - we've been doing block feeding with 2 hour blocks for a while now, and although it's helping a bit, it's hasn't sorted it out completely. My HV suggested sage tea, but we are waiting to see how we get on first.
Blackkat - couldn't get through to the LL helpline, phoned about half a dozen times and just kept getting people's answerphone.
Willow, thanks, but tbh its mainly because we have no idea how I will stop BF at the moment with the constant blocked ducts and recurring mastitis!
Expressed both sides this morning at 9.45, then fed on both sides (left at 10.10, right at 10.40). I then fed on the left at 14.00 then again at 16.10, then the right at 19.10, and again at 20.45. Seems to be ok so far, the right was quite full by this evening, but better than normal, and only squirted a bit of milk, not loads like usual.
Will see how we get on overnight tonight.
There's a LLL meeting locally on Saturday, although there isn't a Leader, but I'm going to attend that for any advice.
