Has your midwife referred you for a growth scan you may also be tested for gestational diabetes? I have been measuring big all through my pregnancy and have had two growth scans to check all is well...baby's weight is big and measurements off the scale but it could mean anything as nobody really knows until baby arrives! I wouldn't worry too much...

Thank you for your reply!
I get regular growth scans due to a medical condition I have had since birth, and my midwife told me my results from the GTT and she advised that they were fine so I don't have gestational diabetes so I'm just wondering what it could be? I guess as you said I will never know until she is born! X

I had this with my 2nd pregnancy I was told that's she would be well over 10 lb I was worried throughout my pregnancy as wanted a natural birth and they kept on about a section and was measuring weeks in front she was born naturally the day before she was due and weighed in at 6lb 10 oz so they are not always right hunnie xxxxxxx

Your welcome hunnie just try not to over worry as it took away the excitement for me towards the end and there was no need for it you just have to remember that even if baby's on the big side you are in the right place but don't let it scare you as you might end up with a 6lber like mine :) xxxxxxx

I measured big with both my boys... First ended up being 9lb 12oz my second was 7lbs 8oz... They say bigger babies are easier to push out- in my case this was true, my first was a breeze lol.. They are only estimates though so don't worry :) xx

There are lots of stories out there of women being told they will have bigger babies but they end up with relatively normal weight babies ! My mum was told my brother would be over 10lb he was born and was less than 7lb he was very long tho! He's 6ft 6 now! Enjoy your pregnancy and don't worry too much.
