It's a long story but I had some tests done just as fell pregnant I must have been about 3weeks, I certainly didn't know I was pregnant at the time. The letter was missed somehow, anyway I eventually go my hands on it today. My TSH levels are 26 compared to a normal range of 0.4 - 4.5, so I have an urgent appt on Friday at the hospital with my Obstetric consultant. I've never had thyroid problems before but there's obviously something not right. Anyone have any ideas what to expect?

Hi BLL, not sure if this is helpful but we had a topic on this over in TTC some time ago: mumdrum.com/.../18751.aspx
Might be worth putting a shout out for LLL to see if she's around to offer some help?

Thank you Tayto. LLL story is really intriguing my milk didn't come in with G and I'm wondering if this was the cause at the time. Hopsfully this time we can get it under contraol before I give birth x

Fingers crossed for you BLL. My mum has thryoid problems so I asked her yesterday if she had them when she had me & my siblings but the answer was no - they only came along after I was born, I'm such a trouble maker :-)

Hey, just seen this. Your TSH is very very high, you needs to get it down. Preferably below 2 is the level for pregnancy. Have you had your appointment? How did it go? If you start treatment, it takes around a month for the tablets to really work, so make sure you get a repeat blood test. Find out your results, ask for actual print out copies so you know your numbers. You should have bloods very trimester too. Good luck! X
