    hey ladies

    happy new year.

ive found a pram that both me and hubs have fallen in love with - the silvercross 3D.
went to babies r us this morn to check the car seat will fit in hubbys fiesta and his seat belts are not long enough

so now what to do?! settle for another pram or buy a seperate car seat?

in peoples experience, do you miss having the car seat to clip onto the pram?

I have the same problem....I have the silvercross freeway and the ventura car seat doesn't fit in my car - the belts are not long enough...

luckily it fits in my husbands car.....I have been given a M&P car seat and base from a friend (I know it has been really well looked after)

I really love using the 'pram' part of it so I don't mind lifting DS out of the car seat into the pram...I also think he looks more comfortable in the pram......

I just wish silvercross did the base for their carseats and then it was be just perfect !!!!

We had the same problem! Silvercross take note!

We ended up buying the Mamas and Papas Switch, which had a lot of the same features - can't tell you if it's any good as bubs isn't due until Feb. But I love the Silvercross still.

    Sorry, really pointless post!

This is the pram weare after as well,we shall be taking our cars to see if the seat fits, if not I will get a seperate carseat. It really is a shame they dont do a base for it.I have seen the pram minus the car seat on another website for ??250 so at least then we wont have to buy the whole travel system with car seat if it doesnt fit.

ive never put the car seat on the pram frame with my 9 month old. i just dont like babies in car seats! they should be flat, so if i drove somewhere with her in the car seat, as soon as we arived i got her flat in her carrycot again.

the other thing is (and im not sure if theyve updated this since i looked at it) but the silvercross 3d isnt rear-facing. my neighbour has one and her father takes her baby out for long walks and the boy is facing forward and even she thinks he gets bored. nobody's interacting with him, he's just looking at streets.

what do you like about the pram? as there may be others that address your address your needs?

Thats true the 3d is only is a forward facing pram/buggy.....The freeway linear one is both forward and read as you can attach the 'pram' to the chassic facing either way....

I also hate seeing babies scrunched up in the car seats on the chassis.....I only do that if I'm popping to the local shops....if Im out and about DS goes in the pram......

    It's parent facing now
Need the height adjustable handles and I don't like the solid bar handles, like two separate ones
Love the look of the 3d, colours and everything

Think we are just gonna buy an extra car seat for hubs car xxx

U should always have ur car seat tested and fitted to be honest.. We went blissfully unaware to mothercare and she offered to fit car seats in our car, unfortunately the maxi cosi range wouldn't work even with an iso fix base so she tried the silvercross Ventura s and it fits perfectly. Aren't all seatbelts standard length? I found the silvercross 3d to be a huge bulky pram so we went for the surf instead which is both rear and forward facing in cot and pushchair mode. Good luck with whatever u decide x

I love the look of the silvercross 3d and the colours. Im not allowed another pram though as spent bout ??400 on my graco symbio so hubby says we have to use that! spoil sport!
Id say just buy another car seat for hubs car! u can get seats on there own cheap enough. They all have to pass same safety tests so dont have to spend loads.x
