We've got a HUGE drive to Aviemore next month and in the past E has basically slept the whole way but now she's bigger she often stays awake in the car. As she's just gone into a forward facing car seat, she hasn't got a handle thing to attach any toys to. I *think* you can get arches to attach to car seats but not sure if they are just for Stage 0 seats or if it would be OK on a forward facing seat?

Not sure if it would be a hazard in a FF seat? Surely she would be thrown right into it in an accident?

Yeah that's what I was thinking. Will have to think again on how to keep her amused....

You can get window sticker toys. I got one for my goddaughter when she was younger.
Similar to this one (I can't find the actual one I got her):

How about a mirror type thing to hang on back of front seat?

Make sure it is a soft mirror though. Whatever toys you have you should be happy to throw at your baby's face (in case of an accident, not just because you want to throw something at them!).

Top tips there ladies, thank you, especially the throwing things at babies

Jojo maman bebe have got a toy that attaches to the back of the seat in front. Might be worth a look. Saying that we have always been pretty hardcore with Zoe and she has no toys in the car, it does mean that even now at almost 4.5 we can do an 8 hr journey without needing to take additional entertainment. I think she must be the only one of her friends that doesn't need a DVD player for long journeys.

Thanks JB, I am also very resistant to the car DVD thing (now anyway!), likewise we haven't caved into children's TV - yet x
