I've got a Britax Kidfix which O is happy to be in. It can be taken out easily and the Isofix part folds away neatly.

You will definitely need a high back booster. The basic booster cushions are not anywhere near as good and most of them require the child to weigh 22kg, additionally there is a campaign to make them illegal and most of the big manufacturers (Britax, Maxi Cosi) no longer make them.
The Britax Kidfix always gets really good reviews. We have the Britax Evolva as it is initially a 5 point harness which can then be removed once the child reaches 15 - 18kg. Zoe grew out of her stage 1 seat height wise before she weighed the minimum 15kg so we had no option but to get the Evolva. If I was just buying a HBB , ie if my child weighed more than 18kg, then I woudl get an isofix version. It is a real pain trying to remember to strap the seat in after Z gets out and if it isn't strapped in it can become a bit lethal in the cabin of the car in a crash.
