Found this which some of you may find interesting. I know PP/MD have always been pro rear facing anyway.

Interesting read. We are pro rear facing too. Our main car has rear facing for our son, but not the other car (we got best ff one we could find as rf one was too expensive to buy 2).
Our son doesn't mind it at all, and tbh, it's easier to get him in and out than a ff seat, especially when in a car park where you have limited space to open car doors

I'm really glad they're changing it, I've seen pictures and heard of such little babies having been turned FF because they've reached 9 months (or in some cases haven't!)
We kept C rearfacing in both our cars until only a few months ago, so he was about 3y8m - it would have been longer but MrDD had someone bump into the back of his car so we had to change his seat and thought we may as well get the next stage at the time, then he started asking to go FF in my car too so we had to change that seat as well a couple of months later.
IDC - I agree, it is easier to get them in RF that FF!

E's next stage rear facing seat arrived today though I have a week to wait before I can fit it as I need some help from the garage to fit the tethers. A lot of the mums at the Bumps & Babies group I run have been really interested in my seat and I have a queue of them that want to see it once its installed! It's great that more people are getting to hear about ERF now and I'm sure the new regulation will help with that.
