Morning all. Although R is within the weight limit (18kg) of her car seat I'm finding it more difficult to get her in it easily and pull the harness etc so I think it's time for the next seat up. Any recs on what I need to look out for specifically, or anything to avoid? Any links to yours would be greatly appreciated. TIA

I looked around and asked for recommendations at the time we bought ours about a year ago, and went for the Britax Kidfix isofix for both mine and MrDD's cars - it's one of the best buys on Which?, and being isofix, you don't have to belt it in place when your child isn't in the seat - plus it feels more secure than just having the non-isofix version. Although saying that, the non-isofix version (Britax Kid Plus) is also a Which? best buy (only about 1% difference in the ratins), and my parents have one in their car, I just prefer having Isofix if I can. There's also the SICT version of this seat (again a Which? best buy), but it's quite a bit wider which is one reason we didn't go for that one.
What sort of budget are you looking at? I think our Kidfix ones were just under £100 at the time (managed to find discount codes), and the Kid Plus was a bit less.

we got this www.johnlewis.com/.../p231648620 based on having a maxi cosi before and being happy with the brand. It has a tiny recline but nothing like the previous stage car seats.

We have a Britax Evolva as Zoe was too tall for her stage 1 seat but not yet at the lower weight limit for a HBB. It is now in HBB mode and is still pleased with it.

Thanks ladies. Sorry couldn't get back to this earlier.
Thanks for your recs. I think it's perhaps worth me buying a months trial of Which? then to see the safety rating rather than just customer recs on websites.
