Currently 27+3 second baby and fount out monday after being in hospital last week due to bleeding that I have erosion on my cirvix, I was told its nothing to worry about but if I bleed again I must return to hospital! I had never even heard of this before monday, has anyone else been told this and did it cause any issues? Does it fix itself and did you have a normal delivery at term or can it cause problems? X

Hey I had most of my cervix removed so not erosion as such but I've been told I have a good chance of getting to 37 weeks . Just try and take it easy and keep an eye on your discharge n bleeding n watch out for any cramps xx

Cervical erosion can happen with pregnancy. Your cervix becomes extra sensitive to touch so sex can trigger bleeding & may be off the cards for a while. You should be able to carry baby to term but may find you bleed as you go into labour (though the MW should monitor this & reassure you as to whether there is cause for concern or whether it is simply your 'show').

Thankyou ladies, I see my midwife on tuesday so I'll have a chat with her as when at hospital all the questions I had just disappeared and I couldn't for the life of me think to ask what causes it and if it could effect my pregnancy or the birth. X
