I have had a few, they are not too bad and it's not inserted very far in.
I had one due to low lying placenta.
Try not to worry though. xx

I've got to go to a premature prevention clinic for cervical scans and blood tests every 2 weeks from 17 to 34 weeks due to a loop diathermy I had last jan. they didn't explain what would happen or anything so I also would be interested to hear from others x

Thank you Smilekinners...
LH86 I had a Cone Biopsy about 8 years ago and since then had 2 children, then 2 years ago I had severe abnormal cells which showed on a smear so had Lletz treatment. I was asked if I had completed my family and at the time didn't know. The surgeon advised she would go very careful and only take what she had to!! So now on number 3 they going to measure my cervix to check enough there. I'm hoping all ok tomorrow and thats it but just so anxious about it.

Good luck, yeah I had a lot removed even though I told them I hadn't finished making babies yet (I call myself stumpy the nurse says what's left of it is neat at least lol!) And I've had several bleeds already so am really worried bout wot they'll find. Do keep me posted xx

LH86 I had the scan yesterday and was a bit of a nervous wreck by the time I got in there.... to be fair it was ok just make sure you have an empty bladder (I got sent out for a wee as my half full bladder was stopping them seeing things clearly). It took couple of mins. They didn't have my notes so couldn't look back at dates and exactly what was done which I wasn't happy about. My cervix measures 4.1cm but he wants to see me again in 3 weeks just to check again. To be fair I think what is the point 4.1cm is good but I will go better safe than sorry. I won't feel so scared nexr time.
Whens your first appointment??

That's good 4.1 is a good length I've been told 2.5cm or less and they will take further precautions but 5cm is ideal. It's on 2nd sept x
