Hmm not sure where my paragraphs have disappeared to! Sorry if it's hard to read.

The same happened with my little boy. It was as if food was too heavy in his tummy which made him cough and he was instantly sick with a lot of mucous as well as the food. It took him weeks to recover and be able to eat properly again.

Oh no, he still hadn't got his appetite back properly after his sickness bug. He would normally devour a chocolate biscuit but just has a nibble then says he doesn't want it. It's awful isn't it?

Awe poor little F. I think food does irritate / scratch their throats a bit - S has a viral wheeze which has been going on for weeks and I find rice cakes often set him off. However, I know you obviously want him to keep eating and not refuse something he has asked for. S is only a baby, but when he lost his appetite (more due to scarlet fever than the wheeze), cold melon and yoghurt worked well and didn't cause him to be sick. Personally, if he is being sick a lot though, and if he doesn't seem any better tomorrow - so after three days on the antibiotics, I would go back to the Dr, just in case there is anything else they can prescribe or suggest, or in case the antibiotics are irritating him. Also, don't worry if he does go off food, he will definitely make up for it once better, although we had similar with a sickness bug then an ear infection recently and it felt like he hadn't eaten in weeks! Hope he recovers soon, it's awful when they are ill and chest infections are horrible x

Thanks Lamby. It's breaking my heart seeing him like this. He's even started refusing to take his antibiotics and calpol. We had to hold him down earlier and force him to have the antibiotics. It was awful. He didn't even want to cuddle me afterwards. He managed a small bowl of ice cream this evening and has been asking for milk so that's something. Fingers crossed he's a bit better in the morning x
