I am writing because I'm Panicking so much. I found out im pregnant yesterday, I have no idea when my last period was but I'm sure it was no longer than 6 weeks ago. I did a clear blue yesterday afternoon after doing 2 Normal tests and it said 1-2 I did another clear blue first thing this morning and it says 2-3. I am worried as up until the day before I took the tests, I've had a lot of functions/events/parties and have been drinking alot of wine. I'm scared. Especially as I dnt know how far gone I am. I'm hoping the clear blue is accurate and if I was alot more than 3+ it would definitely say that and not 1-2 one day then 2-3 the next. Does anyone have any advice/reassurance? I'm driving myself mad by constantly going on Google.

I found out on Monday too... Try not to worry about the alcohol, it's not ideal, but you didn't know so can't be expected to have avoided all alcohol... If you are within the first few weeks, one thing that can help ease your mind (well it eased my mind a bit) is that up until 6 weeks or so, your growing baby uses nutrients from within the embryotic sac until the placenta has been established... I don't really know how accurate the dating thing is on the clear blue digital tests, but if you've got any questions, ring the customer helpline (number on the leaflet with the test) as I'm sure you are not the first person with that query. Make an appointment with your doctor, if you are not sure when your last period was, they will probably send you for a scan sooner rather than later just to get an idea of how far along you are... Hope this helps :-) :-)

Clear blue digi is based upon hormone levels so it is predicting from the level of hormone that you are around 4wks pregnant (your dating scan at around 12wks will give you the due date everyone will work to).
Many people will drink prior to realising they are pregnant, after all, you don't know you're doing anything wrong until you get that BFP. Now that you do know it is about looking after yourself & growing bump so sticking to recommended drinking limits or trying to avoid it all together (make yourself des driver or tell people you're on antibiotics).

Hi thanks for your replies. I went to EPU today and had an internal scan and a belly scan. He couldn't see any sign of pregnancy (no sac) uterus walls 1.3cm thick. He said it may be too early but I'm sure I must be more than 5 weeks?? Surely there would be a visible sack very early on? Had blood test and hoping to get results in morning of my hormone levels.
Could this be a chemical pregnancy?I've just done a pregnancy test and although it came up positive straight away, it seems ever so slightly fainter than the ones I did on Monday!

According to What to Expect when you're Expecting (bought the book today) a HCG Level of between 5 - 426 indicates approx 4 weeks pregnant... But 19 - 7340 also indicates 5 weeks... So in short... No exact science to it... But you're between 4 to 5 weeks maybe?? X

Thanks that's kind of what I worked out too. I was concerned when the man doing the scans said he couldn't see any traces of pregnancy. Hopefully it was just too soon to see! My doctor wouldn't refer me for an early scan so I had to go and sit and wait at my local hospital from 9am this morning. Was only there an hour and a half so not too bad.

It probably is too soon to see anything just yet... Hope you get your answer soon... Keep pestering the docs too ;-) ;-)

You may not see anything on a scan until closer to 7wks, they are tiny dots at this stage. Hope bloods give a nice reassurance tomorrow. X

Update. Hcg levels now at 574. Lady on the phone said even though they have doubled in 48 hours, they are still very low, so I have to go back in a week for another hcg blood test.
