O has gone from angel baby to limpet boy in 5 wks. I'm sure some of it is down to him having (as yet undiagnosed) reflux, but he barely sleeps anymore in the Moses basket (he'll be put down, then wake 20 mins later). However he loves to sleep on me, and sleeps a lot better when he's nestled up in my BF pillow and cushion. I wonder if he's not sleeping because he's not cosy enough?
anyway I'm considering buying a 2nd hand amby nest on eBay - has anyone got any experiences of it? Worth it? Did it improve sleep?
this could all be down to the reflux and the nest might not make a difference but I thought I'd ask

No idea re the nest but have you tried swaddling? S sleeps so much better like that, I think it is a feeling secure thing.

Absolutely loved mine for Rafferty. I bought it one morning at 3am because he wouldn't let us put him down at all, it wasn't a miracle cure but it did seem to help a lot. He looked lovely and snuggly in there!

If you look at reflux websites a lot of people swear by them. Big S had dreadful reflux and like O would only really sleep on me or in his bouncy chair. I'd already decided that if this one is the same I'll buy a nest. Have you seen a dr about him yet? They'll almost certainly try gaviscon first but if it doesn't work within a couple of days do go back.
Hope you find a solution. Reflux is hell.

Just googled it. I think Hep has one of those and has used for both children, saw a pic and I did look really cosy in it. Am sure she will be feeding sometime overnight and post soon!

haven't tried the nest (but do fancy one if we have a number 2 but the clingness sounds like disco when he had silent reflux (thankfully easd by gaviscon and lot of daytime sling wearing that said gaviscon was a pain too administer). We tilted our crib and swaddeled which helpped too.

I have one for Baby M having heard people rave about them. It's hard to say for sure as she is still a but poorly with her jaundice but she has settled really well in it and actually SLEEPs between feeds! I am paranoid about her rolling over in it so I have a rolled up towel either side of herso she ends up super cosy and contained.
They are meant to be great for reflux as they are not flat on their back and you can adjust the angle they lay at really easily.
I got mine 2nd hand for £50

Unfortunately the one I was lent was broken so we never got to use it. But the person I borrowed it from said it was amazing! I still wonder if E would be a better sleeper if it worked out.

They do look cozy! How long can they stay in them for? Isn't transitioning from the nest to a cot problematic?
