Thanks to lots of fab advice already, I'm building up a decent nappy stash and am totally addicted to looking at/reading about/shopping for nappies! But I'd like some advice about other types to get ready for when baby arrives. I'm trying not to get more than two or three of any one type in case we don't get on with that particular one and I'm going more for birth to potty types as this is definitely our last baby so I'm reluctant to spend too much as I will only get one use out of them.
This is what I have so far:
1 Little Lamb size 1 and wrap (potentially two more to come if family have received theirs from the offer!)
3 Ones and Twos BTP pockets
2 Tiny Nippers BTP Pockets
2 DottyBots BTP pockets
2 Little Lamb OSFAs
I'd like to make a wish list so I can keep an eye out on the FB preloved page for bargains and these are the ones I'd thought of trying to add:
Tots Bots Easyfit
Itti Bitti Tutto
Close Pop In
What do you reckon? Any of these not worth looking out for, or any others which would be good to try out? I also need some more boosters but I'm thinking I can wait until baby is here for these as they are needed more for heavy wetters - am I right?
Thank you for all the advice so far and for this - I'm now super excited about getting started with cloth!

I would recommend trying a bumgenius freetime and easyfit, as their design is so different to a pocket. Boosters, I'd buy extra ready. If you do need to boost you have them there straight away. We started when Henry left hospital about 3/4 weeks and needed to boost some nappies. Saying that iv never had to boost bumgenius or easyfits. Mainly tiny nippers and the two parters at night.

I can definately recommend the bumgenius v4 and totsbots easyfits, the bgs are my favourite and they come with 2 sizes of booster one for newborns and a double size one to add in later I haven't had to buy any extra boosters yet and am still just using the one newborn size.
For nights I have a couple of 2 parters but they are really bulky so I tend to use the few wonderoos aio's I have - these come with a 3 fold bamboo i nsert so really absorbant and last all night.
Have you got liners? You don't necessarily need them to begin with but they just protect the nappy from curry stains!! I use the washable fleece ones then I can just chuck the whole nappy in the wash.
I like the look of the iltti bitti ones but I think they are all bamboo so would take ages to dry unless you use a tumble dryer. I think jelly baby uses these.

Thank you ladies, will look out for those and I'll get some boosters before baby arrives - would you recommend bamboo or microfibre or a mix of both? Drying isn't a problem as we have a tumble dryer and plenty of room in the utility to pop things on the clothes horse.
Liners are on my list although I think I'll do a week or two in disposables to begin with whilst I get to grips with 3 and recover from my section.
Off to do some more reading!

A mix of both boosters but mainly bamboo. If using together mf on top and bamboo underneath. Bamboo games longer to absorb but holds more whereas mf drinks it up but fills quickly

With Zoe we had a mixture of Bumgenius pockets, Bumgenius Organics (which are now called elemental), Close Pop-ins and Itti Bitti d'lish.
The Bumgenius pockets were absolutely brilliants until she started crawling and then the stuffing would get bunched up so we got more leaks. I sold most of those on but have kept the Organics and Close Pop-ins. The Itti Bitti's were my favourite as they were so slim fitting but I sold them on as I needed to go up each size so I now have several large ones but nothing that is going to fit Noodles. I did order some Tutto's but they looked quite bulky compared to the d'lish, although it seems as though the d'lish are getting harder and harder to find.

Margin you have a sewing machine don't you? Why not make your own boosters out of old towels. Or I've been using the cheap ikea flannels folded in 3 and they work brilliantly.

Thanks for that suggestion Mrs Claus, I do indeed have a sewing machine (although there are sewing tasks stacking up at the moment!) so will give that a go. Do you need to double the towel over?

I would just do 3 layers. But you won't need to boost for a good while but worth having some ready.

Thanks MrsC, annoyingly I've just got rid of a sack of old towels, but will see if my mum or MIL have any old ones they don't need.

Margot if you want a bumgenius to try I can do you one ffp? I pretty sure they're V4's with the velcro fastening. Its white so neutral colour too.

We've just started using TotsBots easyfit and they are going fine so far. We also have the little lamb size 1's and wraps. They are our favourites at the moment as they contain everything.
We have Little Lamb OSFA too, but we had a lot of leaks from them in the early days when A had skinny legs! Do you know what you are having? I'm going to sell the pink ones that we have if you're interested?

Fifiminx, that would be amazing if you could! Are you on the FB group?
Smashed Crab, probably a girl so pink would be good but I'll wait and see how we get on with them first if that's okay?
