Those of you that use cloth nappies - did/are you taking them on holiday? We are going to Crete on Tuesday and have a villa with a washing machine, so I'm trying to decide if its worth taking cloth nappies, or just using disposables while we are away?
We've prebooked excess baggage so have 2 x 20kg bags plus a 15kg bag allowance, so should have plenty of room if we decide to take them.

If i had access to a washing machine then i definatly would if you have room. I am staying in a b&b in a few weeks for and cant decide whether to take them or not.

I know! I keep thinking that it makes sense to take them as we use them all the time at home and it won't be any different. We're using disposables at night, so would take a packet too, and use them for day trips I think.
I don't know why I can't make a decision on this!!

If there's a washing machine then yes! They should dry beautifully in the sun there too. I'd personally use disposables for the travelling but if you're staying mostly in one place during your holiday then go with cloth, I can't see why not.
We're going to stay with grandparents in Malaysia in Sept and will be using sposies, because they have no washing machine x

It would depend if you have the luggage allowance and a washing machine then why not, that said you neeed to remeber to wash all/ as many as possible before you fly back as I wouldn't want to travel with dirty nappies.
I am looking at purchasing some of the pocket nappies with disposable bio degradable inserts for weekends away to minimise luggage spaces used etc... currently trailing charlie banana

Do you really want to be washing them while away though? I'm taking disposables for our week long holiday and for weekend breaks gnappies. I don't want to be storing dirty nappies and washing, drying etc while on holiday.

Hmm, I think we will take them. We will be travelling in disposables though, so we don't have to carry dirty nappies around with us. I'm going to pack on Sunday so providing there is space then I'll take 2 days worth of cloth.
Lindtbunny - we have a washing machine and will be washing clothes anyway, so might as well be washing nappies.
Drifter - hadn't heard of Charlie Banana but just had a look at their website - looks good! But I can't buy any more nappies!!

With lots of luggage allowance and a washing machine then yes, as its a 2 minute job to stick the washer on and will dry quick.

Sorry to crash thread but drifter I bought some Charlie Banana a few weeks. They are fantastic. I haven't tried the disposable inserts yet, just washable but am loving them. No leaks at - unlike other pocket nappies we have and so much easy to put onto a wriggly toddler than my 2part fold-up jobs!
I would defo take them on holiday if you had lots of sunshine for drying them :-)
