Can you put essential oils (mine is lavender) directly onto a nappy? I forgot to rinse the last load before washing and they smelled a bit, so I popped a few drops of lavender on the booster (not the one next to his skin). And I've been getting lovely whiffs of lavender!
Will this ruin the nappies/his bum?

To be honest I would rather wash them again. I always thought essential oils had to be used in a base or diluted or they can be an irritant.

It'll be fine.
It's not recommended to put them directly onto some nappies (ones with PUL I'd guess), but I have (before going in the wash) and it was fine. If it would be next to babies skin then is rewash, but otherwise just enjoy the nice smell!

Thanks ladies. Haha Stripey I'm just so lazy!! The smell has gone now, think it was just the first couple that smelled, the others stayed on the airer so probably got a bit more air through. Will remember to pre-rinse next time!
