So, last Tuesday O was put on lactose free milk, ranitidine and gaviscon. Overnight he became a different baby. Wednesday we went to the van and for the past five days he has been settled, quiet and content. We came back Monday. Since arriving home, he has pretty much screamed nonstop.
I don't know if its the heat making him grumpy as it was cooler on the coast. Or are the meds no longer working. Or is it colic as well as reflux?? Or something else entirely!
I really thought we had turned a corner and feel frustrated that we are back to square one. It's really getting me down. And of course C is bearing the brunt of it. I'm short fused with him and we are back to not doing much except console O who is crying all the time.
i feel guilty that I cant make either one happy at the moment.

I feel your pain. We had a day like that on Monday and the only time P wasnt crying was when i was bfing her and i snapped at a very bored G all day.
I am seeing my GP again today to ask his advice but i do wonder if this heat has a lot to answer for or if reflux babies still have bad days even on meds. Also i definitely find P is worse on days we stay in at home - maybe a change of scenery makes them happier or diverts their minds a bit. Colic is usually just in the evenings...
Reflux is the pits.

Knowing my luck he has both...as he screamed from 5pm-9pm the last two nights!

I found when I travelled with E that the water changes really seriously affected her tummy.

I have no advice, but certainly O hasn't been as settled in the last few days. c hasn't either, so I wonder if it's the heat. Gah, just when you think you've cracked it. Hope it all improves for you soon x
