I am 7 weeks & two days & I had myself all geared up for my first in depth midwife appointment & it ended up it was just a meet and greet. Don't get me wrong she was lovely and made me feel so comfortable but she won't be my midwife she's getting moved! So my next appointment will be with someone new.. I feel a little stressed.. Totally worked up and so nervous..
I am shattered I have no energy but I honestly dont feel pregnant.. I've def got more of a belly but it just doesn't seem real..I honestly don't know how your suppost to feel if I'm honest.
im so thankful I'm pregnant & that I'm not sick but it really doesn't feel real.. Does anyone else feel like that?xx

What your feeling is perfectly normal! With regards to ur midwife appointments they can be brief. The initial meet and greet is mainly to get some details maybe tell you about foods to avoid, folic acid but it short and simple. The next appointment the booking is longer but still they can't listen to heartbeat so the most they due is ask questions, BP and dip your urine. its so hard coz you just want confirmation at all times that you are pregnant coz in the beginning you don't look pregnant and you may not feel pregnant, it can feel never ending but once you have your dating scan and you start to tell everyone it does start to become real. It is still slow but youre on a path that is moving a little quicker. hope this helps u feel a little better xx

I didn't feel anything until 6 week. And then I only had sickness which I still have now at 24 weeks!
I felt butterfly's around week 14 but the feeling wasn't consistent if would be days apart and maybe one or two a day. I didn't put weight on due to sickness.
I didn't meet my midwife until week 12, and have only seen her on two times since.
Don't stress about your new midwife I'm sure she will be lovely and helpful :) if you have any worries contact your current midwife and ask if you could have a meeting with your new midwife as you would like to get to know her and you need to feel comfortable around her.
All the best :)

They wont listen to heartbeat at booking coz it's too early but should do at 16 weeks. May be worth taking partner to booking coz they ask about his family and medical history but the other appointments are usually short and sweet in the earlier ones and if he's working he's only entitiled to two appointments off So may be worth saving for the later ones where they discuss birth plan and stuff x

My midwife came to the house at 12 week for the booking where I first met her. my partner wasn't with me as he had to work and I'd rather him be at the scans than filling forms in.
They didn't measure or anything only take my blood pressure. but at my 16 week meeting with her she measured me and listened to the little ones heart beat.
It seems like a long time at the start before you actually see someone, but I hope it goes good with you and your keeping well :)
