iv e had constant braxtons for the last 3 weeks. at one point it got so bad i went to the hospital for a check just in case. the only way i can ease them a little is by lying in the bath, but that dont always work.

My birthing ball helps me concentrate on something else. Although this doesn't work when I'm out! My husband is keeping a constant eye on me and timing them now! xxx

I get them in flurries of about 7-10 at a time pretty constant thorughout the day. I read that going to the loo as they start and drinking pleanty of water may help, not always practical for me as in work the loo is 2 floors up???

i have found that breathing through them as much as pssible helps to shorten each one. I'm almost 33 wks so i know this is prep for the real thing so trying to just put up with them at the moment. Luckily they don't hurt, just really unconfortable

Hi - Can I ask a silly question. I think I am getting braxton hicks but not sure. I am 36 wks and I keep getting a hard/tight bump like I have cramp in it but it doesn't hurt. Is this what they are like? But do they start to hurt closer to due date to get ready for the real thing?

Not a silly question at all but yes what your experiencing is braxton hicks. Some people find them painful but they shouldnt be, they can be very uncomfortable at times.
