Hi all, my period is one day late, I have been urinating more frequently, for the past few nights I have not been sleeping very well and I've had bouts of headaches. I decided to do a pregnancy test and I've posted the result here. One line is bold but the second line is faint.

Hi there, I am 6 weeks 4 days pregnant and this is exactly what my first test looked like and was the same brand. I used a clear blue the next morning and got a positive result.. good luck ☺

For an cheap strip test that's a really decent line. Congratulations on your positive test! x

Hello Confused 16,
I can understand you're confused and want to know what is happening. The morning after pill is a high concentration of a mix of hormones (dependant on which one you had) which interfere with your cycle in order to prevent a pregnancy, they can also prevent implantation. However if they're taken outside of the time suggested by the manufacturer or if the fertilised egg has already implanted into the womb lining then the morning after pill will not be able to stop this pregnancy. Based on the minimal details I have regarding your situation I would recommend you to see your GP ASAP. The current reading could be false due to the morning after pill affecting your hormone levels or you were already pregnant before you took it, or it could be they are also not always 100% successful in doing their job (please see manufacturers details for exact figures).
In order to put your mind at ease please arrange an appointment with your GP as soon as possible.
Best wishes x
