Has anyone taken their baby for cranial osteopathy and what did you think of it? We have an appointment for this afternoon as O is so unsettled and would be interested to hear and stories of anyone who had been?

I haven't but there used to be loads of people on here that used them and we're happy with the results. anything is worth a try! Hope it goes well x
Yes, C was such an unsettled baby, could never be put down, constantly crying. Took him at about 6 weeks old for his first appointment, and he had his longest nap ever after that! He had a couple more sessions, and although he was still a bit unsettled and cried a lot, it was a lot different to how he started - you wouldn't imagine someone just gently resting their hands on your babies head could make such a difference!
I'll definitely be taking #2 if they are similar. Hope it goes well. x

I haven't had personal experience but a friend of mine took her baby after 3 months of screaming for 6 hours each evening, she saw them and the next day was bad 12 hours screaming so bad she called them and told them to put her baby back! They said to give it 24 hours, next day she had a new baby so relaxed, she took him back 3 times all together and he was so much better. Fingers crossed for you!

We took A at about 3 months for 3 sessions, but to be honest, we didn't see much of a difference. I wouldn't spend the money on it again myself.

God I'm scared to even write this incase I jinx myself but he has been more settled today. He slept all the way back in the car (which isn't unusual) but then we went to sainsburys on the way home for some shopping and he slept the whole way round the shop. He didn't have a great feed at 4pm but he did sleep in his swing when he eventually calmed down for an hour and 15mins. I've just taken him up to bed with me and I'm in the process of putting him down. He looks pretty sleepy and has been lying in his pod for about 10mins now and as yet no screaming!
I'm praying this isn't just a one of fluke! Still pretty sure he's not getting on with the milk though as he was sick at all his feeds, cried for the rest of the bottle for what he threw up and just looks uncomfortable afterwards but that's my next task if thi is helping him with sleep at least!x

He was asleep for about 9:30ish and slept until 11!! He did wake up crying but I lifted and settled him again and we managed another half hour which is just fab! I can hardly believe it!
01/02/2014 at 01:14
Wow! Hope he continues sleeping and you get a good nights sleep too! x

I'm just about to attempt to go back to bed before the 4am feed. He gets in a state after a bottle (which I'm still thinking is potentially the milk!) it takes a while to get him to settle down but if I can get 2 hours between feeds I'd be delighted!
how are you doing MamaD?

I've just woken up with O stirring. I could just cry with happiness as he's slept from 2-4am. Im not banking on this every night but it's fab to know he can be comfortable enough to sleep!!x
