i realise in first tri its just a case of what you can keep down but whats everyone elses cravings?
with the boys it was smells, very bleachy/detergent type smells, i LOVED orange and lavender dettol and would just sniff the bottle/dettol soaked sponge for hours , literally went as soon as id delivered.
this time we are having a girl, so im absolutely addicted to any kind of sour sweet, i have just eaten a HUGE bag of tang fastic and complained they werent sour enough , o and fish i seem to be loving all forms of fish , i mean i like fish anyway but wouldnt have been able to stomach it with the boys. o and very into fruit at the moment, which makes a change as with Lucas and William i couldnt have any fruit for the whole pregnancy and with isaac i managed a few apples but nothing else, where as this time im buyin tonnes of strawberries, blackberries and ate 4 figs last night
with the boys after the sickness had gone (well it didnt really with L and W but i felt human around 20ish weeks with L but stillregularly vomittied) i actually looked well, this time im one huge spot! iv just kicked off as boss said i look like a teenager with all my spots

The last time it was Ribena Ice lollies even in winter, first time it was veg pakora! This time I've nothing, no cravings and not gone off anything, which is a first.

First time I 'fancied' certain foods such as salt and vinegar crisps, MacDonald nuggets and chips and beer! This time I've been the same but just really enjoying food in general! I wouldn't call them cravings but I really really like Special K red berries (or any cereal really) and nectarines at the moment, although this changes week to week.

With both of my boys, it was KFC and pickled beetroot. I'd walk round, eating it from the jar, like it was a packet of crisps.

N - quiche (weird yes). Anything savoury. Smell of clean washing. Crisps for sickness.
No.2 - yoghurts, sweets and chocolate. Smell of clean washing. Crisps for sickness.
We don't know what we are having!

o yes salt and vinegar crisps for sickness, s&v discos are the best for this!
LLL i think boy, everyone i know who has had smell cravings has a boy!

I used to eat S&V discos in uni to cure a hangover!
I had a one off craving for broccoli at a time when I was super busy during 1st tri and living off beans on toast and pasta. Body must have needed it. Also fruit salad.
Other than that, it was just a "I want something and I want it now" type of thing. I remember really wanting chicken kievs at one point and crying because they'd run out in the supermarket!

Like knees mine have been sudden urges for things.
Boursin- having never ever eaten it before I decided I HAD to have it. Are two in 24 hours and not wanted it since.
Fruit generally- pretty much all the way through. Currently it's pink lady apples.
Coleslaw which I've never been fussed about suddenly became amazing.
Early on I loved cheese sandwiches. In fact it was all I are for a few weeks in first tri.
Toblerone. Need I say more. I'm actually eating some just now!

Mine have been toasted cheese and onion sandwiches, coleslaw and any kind of pickle (not all together as that'd just be too weird!!). Also fizzy sweets...The fizzier the better! We don't know what we're having.
With O I craved oranges...I've always hated oranges and do again now, but when pregnant with him I couldn't get enough of them!

Orange juice and orange squash have been my main ones.
Other than that I've had phases of different fruits but also plain carbs like toast, French fries (the crisps), squares etc. Nothing particularly exciting!

I'm another who has just had sudden urges for things-chips with loads of salt and vinegar, primula cheese, boursin, pears. Yesterday I had to have popcorn. Nothing particularly interesting!

It changed as my pregnancy progressed but I ate a lot of salt and vinegar crisps during 1st and 2nd tri.
I also wanted lots of jelly sweets, had to be Sainsbury's own ones and drank chocolate milk by the gallon. It had to be in my purple glass with a straw or else it just wouldn't do. Citrus-y ice lollies, non-alcoholic Pimms (my tri buddy IDC told me how to make it!) and ham sandwiches.
Interesting what you said about smell cravings - I absolutely craved lavendar and would have a bath in it every night and spritz it on my pillow before bed. It wasn't a relaxing thing, I just had to be able to smell it. My mouth almost watered at the smell of it, so weird and I also had a boy!

Ducky, you just reminded me how much I loved salt and vinegar chipsticks when I was pregnant! It had to be the Smiths ones in the blue and white stripe bags. I also (randomly) craved Belgian buns. Fortunately there was a Greggs just around the corner from work so I was a frequent visitor!

Another salt & vinegar fan here - squares for me. I haven't had cravings as such this time yet but have basically wanted to do the rounds of all the local takeaways! With both the girls I was heavily pregnant in summer so loved ice poles and the frozen drinks from Costa & Starbucks. Chewy sweets like fruitellas and the strawberry filled cable sweets from a Tesco.
17/06/2014 at 20:43
With O, it was crisps m but with L and this one, I'm wanting sugary stuff - fizzy strawberry laces are a particular favourite!
17/06/2014 at 20:47
Mine was apples. They had to be braeburn and cold from the fridge. I was eating 5 or 6 a day!

This thread is making me hungry!
17/06/2014 at 21:28
