I'm browsing mattresses for my crib but I'm not sure what I should be looking for so got a few questions -
Which one did you buy?
Where did you get it?
Is there something in particular that I should look for?

I don't have a crib but didn't want your post to go unanswered... hope this bumps it up for someone else to see who has better experience! x

I'm getting one from mothercare. It's about 35 quid I think from memory and comes with a cover that can be removed and washed. I'll see if I can find the link...

This is the one I'm getting. It's supposed to help keep the mattress cool.

We've got the same mattress as imp CA. If I'm honest, we bought our crib from mothercare so that's the only reason we got the mattress there as I knew it fitted!
As imp says I picked it because it had a washable cover and is breathable and supposed to help in stopping overheating. It also has some ions or something that's supposed to prevent bacteria from growing.
I've no complaints about it but O sleeps in his pod on top of the mattress every night so doesn't actually sleep on it!x

For a crib mattress I'd just go for a basic foam one. They don't way a lot when they are using it and it doesn't get used for very long.

I'd agree with JB, we got the one in mothercare that fitted our mothercare crib, no great thought went into it tbh, just got the one they had in stock in the size I needed the day I was out getting a load of baby stuff.
I paid more attention to the cot mattress as they are in it so much longer and thought it was important to have a decent mattress for that
