I agree, I don't fancy having a dodgy belly and coping with labour at the same time!

    Ems,

My MW yesterday swears on sex to bring on labour - she told me I need to get the OH to finish off what he started and for me to play with my nipples for ages! lol

PS: What ever you do, don't touch the castor oil mate!

Hi ladies, I have always thought that the idea of having a curry to encourage labour was becuase of the hot spices, but my friend says it's not because of that at all, having a hot curry will encourage a bowel movement and this can trigger contractions?

    Does anyone know?

    Cheers,

    Emma 40 weeks x

Your friend is right - they say taking castor oil will also bring on labour, but like a curry it'll just give you the shits which may well bring on contractions.

It's really not advised though, having a dodgy gut won't be nice when you are heavily pregnant, and might be bad for baby.
